For next year

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I post a photo and just a few words. Except for when I get my days mixed up. Then I do this on a Wednesday because I posted a regular post on Tuesday.

saving marigold seeds

I'm no great gardener, but I can manage to grow hardy things (that voles won't eat).

Like marigolds.

We worked on some yard cleanup last week, and I remembered to pull some flowers off of my dead marigold plants. Marigold seeds are so easy to save and to plant again, even I can do it. 😉

  1. You don't even have to do that! Just pull the dead heads and sprinkle on the dirt where you want them to seed in the fall, then no saving seeds over winter. Marigolds do this naturally anyways when the plants die back if you don't rip them out sooner.

  2. You know, I went through most of yesterday morning thinking it was Wednesday. And I kept feeling like I needed to do my Wednesday chores.

That's good to know about marigolds and seeds.
