Sometimes I include affiliate links in my posts here on The Frugal Girl.
What are affiliate links?
These are links that take you to other sites which offer me some form of compensation for sending them visitors or customers (for instance, if you click on a coupons.com link in one of my posts and print out a coupon from their site, I get a small kickback from coupons.com. I also am affiliated with Swagbucks, Amazon.com, Groupon, and Capital One 360.).
The kickback I receive comes at no extra cost to you, and this income helps to pay for blogging costs (such as hosting and my email subscription service), and for the time I spend running and maintaining this blog.
Though I appreciate making some money in exchange for the time I spend working here, this blog chiefly exists to serve its readers, and for that reason, I will not use an affiliate link for a company I don’t wholeheartedly support.
If I don’t love a product or a company, I won’t try to convince you to love it, and I will not advertise for that product/company. You are more important than money, and my integrity is too.
Companies sometimes pay me to blog about/review their products or services. Sponsored posts are always clearly labeled and I am very choosy about which sponsored post opportunities I accept. I want this site’s content, including the sponsored posts, to serve you.
Whenever my blog and I appear in the press, whether it be in the newspaper, on TV, or on a website, please keep in mind that my appearance does not function as an endorsement of said newspaper, TV, or website (for instance, if I were on Oprah, it wouldn’t mean that I was in agreement with Oprah on all things. Not that Oprah would ever ask me…I’m just using that as an example).

Affiliate Program Participation
The Website may engage in affiliate marketing, which is done by embedding tracking links into the Website. If you click on a link for an affiliate partnership, a cookie will be placed on your browser to track any sales for purposes of commissions.
The Frugal Girl is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and links to Amazon.com. As part of this Amazon Associates program, the Website will post customized links, provided by Amazon, to track the referrals to their website. This program utilizes cookies to track visits for the purposes of assigning commission on these sales.
On the Website, you may subscribe to our newsletter, which may be used for advertising purposes. All newsletters sent may contain tracking pixels. The pixel is embedded in emails and allows an analysis of the success of online marketing campaigns. Because of these tracking pixels, we may see if and when you open an email and which links within the email you click. Also, this allows the Website to adapt the content of future newsletters to the interests of the user. This behavior will not be passed on to third parties.
