100% whole fruit frozen snacks that taste good? Yup!

Thank you to Froozer for sponsoring this post. All text, photos, and opinions are my own.

What are Froozer frozen fruit snacks?

You might remember that last summer, I introduced you all to Froozer, a small company that makes frozen fruit snacks.

My kids, especially Lisey, love Froozer, so they were very pleased to see a big box of Froozer fruit snacks arriving at our door.

(Like Christmas in July!)

The best thing about Froozer fruit snacks is that they are 100% fruit...there are no added sweeteners at all.

Plus, they're not like other products that are made from 100% fruit juice or juice concentrates. Froozer is actually made from whole, blended fruit, which is even better.

Froozer doesn't remove any water or fiber from the fruit during the blending and freezing process; whole fruit goes in, and whole fruit comes out, just in a frozen, blended form.

And despite the absence of added sugar, my kids are all just as happy to eat these are they are to eat sugary popsicles.

(I happen to feel much better about them eating Froozer vs. freezie pops, however!)

Oh, and Froozer fruit snacks are made with fruit that's picked at optimal ripeness and then immediately frozen, so the fruit you're getting is super fresh.

Fresher, in fact, than the unfrozen fruit that you can buy at your grocery store, which often is picked before it's ripe.

In addition to being free of added sugars, Froozer fruit snacks have no preservatives, no gluten, no dairy, and they're non-GMO.

So, even if you've got some dietary restrictions at your house, odds are super good that Froozer fruit snacks will work for you.

And the happy thing is, even though they don't have dairy, or gluten, or added sugar, they taste really good.

(Which is not necessarily true of every sugar, dairy, and gluten-free food. Froozers are actually tasty, though!)

My kids mostly eat these for dessert, but because they're made with 100% blended fruit, I'm also quite likely to say yes if they want one as a mid-afternoon snack.

Where can I get Froozer fruit snacks?

Since I last wrote about Froozer, their in-store availability has improved greatly!   Woohoo!

Just pop over to their store locator to find out where you can get a box of Froozer fruit sticks for yourself.

Froozer is also available online at Amazon, but you'll save yourself shipping if you buy them locally.

To help sweeten the deal (but with no sugar 😉 ), print out a coupon to use when you buy a Froozer box.

(You can actually print two!)

Lisey, who is the best Froozer connoisseur at our house, recommends trying the Orchard Cherry Berry first.

Zoe likes Strawbanana Bliss the best, though, and Sonia is partial to Tropical Sunset and Blue Aloha.

So, um, basically my girls think all of the flavors are really good. 😉   Go get a box, and regardless of what variety you pick, we think you'll love them!

  1. I have been looking for these since you first posted about them. I found them at Walmart. I brought them home and didn't get to have a single one. My kids devoured them! I'll pick up the cherry ones and hide them in the back of the freezer!

  2. These look delicious, perfect for the hot summer weather we have! And the fact that they are on Amazon is awesome, thank you for sharing!

  3. While I far prefer to make my own smoothie pops (good way to use fruit that's going bad), it's nice to have an purchasable alternative.

    1. So, when you do that, do they freeze rock hard? Froozer snacks are somewhat aerated (like ice cream), so they get soft and creamy in pretty short order out of the freezer.

I've never tried making smoothie pops, and the rock hard thing has been my hesitation!

      1. I made blueberry pops a couple of days ago with a combo of fresh and frozen berries, and they turned super pleasant - not rock hard at all.

Having said that, they did take time to make, created a lot of cleanup (I'm talking to you food processor!) and initially tipped over in the freezer, creating quite the mess.

So, yes, I can see the value of buying Froozers instead on occasion.

      2. Mine don't come out rock hard - quite firm, more than ice cream, not but solid. Why don't you try a couple of different ones in paper cups, see how they turn out for you.

My usual smoothie is some banana, whatever fruit we have on hand (in order of likelihood: berries, melon, stone fruit, citrus) and sometimes milk or yogurt.

  4. None in my town, but all OVER in the town where I go to church, at Publix stores plus Walmart. I have a Walmart here, but apparently it isn't carrying them yet. They sound good, and I'll bet the grandkids would like them, too. I'll have to check them out -- my grandchild with insulin resistance might not be able to eat them often, but they surely would be better than so many other snacks kids are offered these days.
Of course, I would have to eat a few myself, just for research purposes.

  5. Oh, well I mean, it's cool that someone is making some popsicle treats that don't have high-fructose corn syrup in them. I recently got into making my own freezer pops, too, and it's a lot of fun! It's a good way to use up extra fruit so it doesn't go bad. 🙂

  6. Are the tubes plastic or wax-coated paper? My concern with buying these is the waste. The ones you can buy at Costco are fruit juice based, but the main part is at least the wax-coated paper. We've also had a lot of luck making smoothie pops. We bought these silicone push-pop style holders that we put leftover smoothie in. The consistency is usually great, even when we just use fruit and fruit juice for the smoothie.

  7. OMG this is a perfect gift and snack for the summer! I LOVE yogurt and would definitely enjoy frozen yogurt as well. I like how the packaging looks so simple and elegant. Thanks for sharing, Kristen!

  8. Looks like I can get these just a half mile from my house! I might have to check them out. I think my kids would love them.

  9. Well crud. I hate posts that feel like commercials. Though you always are very genuine in your approach, it still feels like a commercial.

    1. I understand. My most favorite posts as a blog reader are always the not-sponsored ones.

But to keep the lights on in this age of low-display-ad income, most of us bloggers need to do sponsored posts here and there to stay afloat.

I try to keep them to a minimum, and I'm grateful for my readers being so understanding. 🙂

  10. I've never actually bought frozen treats like these, sugar free or otherwise. I have some popsicle molds that I make popsicles for my daughter with. I've found that if you have a banana in the mix, it isn't hard like ice. Also, yogurt helps the frozen consistency as well.

  11. Kristen, please keep giving us the odd product related post. As one of your overseas readers, it's fun to know which products add to your frugal lifestyle, and even look for equivalents here. Thank you!

  12. Kinda pricey, I just saw them at Publix and WITH the coupon, they are $4.04 for 6. They do have coupons on them at Publix, so you don't have to print them, but that seems like a lot for a 2 oz treat.

  13. Greetings! I'm so glad I found your web site!
The store locater link for froozer on your page no longer works. I'm having trouble locating them locally. The autistic boy I am caregiver for needs to eat cherries and berries for health reasons, so I'd specifically like to find the orchard cherry berry.
    Do you have any ideas?
Thank you for what you do!
    Warmly,
    Billie
