Know what's just terrible about the beach in September?
The crowds.

Quite honestly, I don't know why we put up with it year after year.

We had the same 'problem' in late May/early June. Awful, isn't it?? 🙂
We had the same problem when we went to Cape Cod in September. It's difficult but we're strong!
Definitely one of my favourite perks of being a homeschooler!!
We all need to suffer every now and again - just so we know how good we've got it. 😉 Glad you're having a great time!
Looks wonderful, Kristen! Makes me so miss Myrtle Beach. Enjoy!
Thanks for posting the pictures. I get to have a mini-vacation every time I visit your blog. Woohoo for the beach!
More proof that little girls in bathing suits are one of the absolute cutest things in the world.
Yes, the beach in September. Perfect.
Your husband is wearing a 1Up mushroom T-Shirt. I approve of this display of nerd-dom. You know, buying classic video game systems is pretty frugal (or at least that's what I tell myself.)
I am sure the kids are enjoying such a busy beach, it looks so fun!
I need to find a beach to head out to! This is the closest we've lived to the ocean ever! And do you have any good thrift store recommendations for the Baltimore area?
The beauty of home schooling. It must be awesome, as a kid, to have the entire beach to yourself.
Love your husband's T-shirt.
Battra and Kristin-I passed your compliments along to my husband. I bought him that shirt for Father's Day, I think. lol He also has another t-shirt covered in various Mario mushrooms.
Battra, my husband is into a lot of the old video games, esp. old arcade games like Galaga and the like.
Kalee, I left you a comment on your blog. 🙂
Isn't "smug" one of the seven deadly sins?
Not knowing where in the States you are, I did wonder if you guys wouldn't be pretty cold at the beach? Obviously not. 🙂
Any man who loves Galaga is a good man.
William, in all seriousness, I mostly feel grateful about this vacation. I was just being silly. (and I do know that you were just messing with me!).
Franci, we're in the Carolinas, where the temperatures are still in the 80s pretty much every day. Perfect beach weather. And even though rain was forecast for this week, we haven't had a drop so far. Yay!
Battra, he's a good one, although his love for Galaga was, quite honestly, not one of the reasons I married him. lol
Do you like Gyruss? He just told me that was his favorite as a kid.
When we were in North Carolina in early June, we felt the same way.... I miss it VERY much and can't wait to go back.
You're so fortunate to go every year! Of course, when we go, it involves paying for 4 RT plane tickets. You're lucky - again! To live so close 🙂
This is one of the things that I miss most about homeschooling. Glad you guys are enjoying your vacation!
This looks wonderful!
