Blah. I don't feel good.

The girls and Mr. FG got a cold last week, and I thought I might escape just like I managed to escape the plague they all had in December. But no such luck this time.

I'm tired and stuffy and my brain feels kind of foggy, so I'm not sure I'm even capable of producing anything resembling a cohesive blog post today.

When my head clears, I really will share the slow-cooker chicken taco recipe I promised, though.

And though I'm in a fog, I wanted to announce that Jackie B. and Liesl are the winners of the The Healthy Slow Cooker Revolution.

Congrats, you guys!   ATK will be contacting you so they can get your books shipped out to ya.

Now I'm off to drink a kale smoothie and some tea.   And here's to hoping a not-foggy version of myself will be here tomorrow.

    1. That's actually what I was thinking this morning...like, why I am trying to wrangle a blog post from my foggy brain? It's not like the world will end if I don't write a blog post one Monday morning. I'm calling in sick!

  1. Feel better soon! I've had The Ick for 2.5 weeks now (persistent sore throat, related cough, intermittent stuffed nose); I'm hoping I've sopped up everyone else's Get Sick Karma so y'all can feel well.

      1. Thank you. Mostly it's been annoying rather than debilitating. I popped back in to give an update: according to my dr, it's not a cold because it's lasted too long. It's a mild upper respiratory infection that's been going around. Antibiotics will cure it nice and quick.

So if the colds you and yours have, last longer than a week, you might want to call your dr to see if it's something else entirely.

        1. Sometimes it's a relief to have something that can actually be treated, isn't it?

So far, the first ones to be infected with this improved before a week was over, so I'm guessing we must just have the common cold.

Hope your antibiotics have you back up and running soon.

  2. I'm with Joyce. Take a day off, try to sneak in a nap, drink lots of liquids ... I'm a firm believer that feeling sick means you need to slow down and rest up.

  3. By all means, rest and get lots of fluids and call in sick! Real life is calling you to slow down right now. Hope you feel better soon.

  4. That cookbook looked so good I'm glad I went ahead and ordered since I didn't win LOL, can't wait to try it!! Feel better soon!

  5. There must be something going around. Everyone in our area seems to be trying to get over something of the sort. Hope you feel better soon. Get lots and lots of rest. 🙂

  6. Colds are never fun....rest and extra fluids always seem to help speed up the recovery. Hope you get well soon. 🙂 AFFJ
