A day off for me

Good morning, dear readers!

It's a holiday here in the U.S. today, and oddly enough, Mr. FG has the day off (he doesn't get off on actual holidays that frequently, though I'm happy to say he will not be at work on Thanksgiving or on Christmas this year. Yay!).

So, instead of writing a post on productivity today, I'm going to be enjoying a day with the husband and kids.

(you can safely assume this means that my productivity levels aren't perfect because if they were, I'd have 2 week's worth of blog posts ready to go at all times. And I never do!)

I do have a 365 post up today, though, so you can go take a peek at that to get your Frugal Girl fix. Also, you might have missed what my girls were doing with our baseball bases (I was late posting my 365 photo yesterday).

I'll be back here tomorrow with a real post. 🙂

  1. hope you guys have a great day together! my husband works a lot so i understand the happiness when he has a day off 🙂

  2. Enjoy your day off!
I have a question. I bought some off-brand Cheerios the other day from Safeway and, well...they're terrible. They get all soggy in the milk and they're just not pleasant to eat. (I'm upset because I used to get the Target brand all the time and they were great!) Since I don't particularly want to eat them and don't want to waste them, do you have any suggestions for recipes I could possibly use them in?

    1. Feed them to some local ducks?? lol

Gosh, I don't know what to use Cheerios for other than breakfast cereal. Maybe someone else will.

      1. Chocolate crispie cakes rather than using cornflakes - I use cheerios all the time. Add some raisins before stirring in the chocolate for a slight twist, or a little honeycomb if you have it x

    2. I've seen Chex mix type stuff made with Cheerios before. As long as they taste alright dry they might work in that.

  3. I hope you had a great day. Can you please consider doing a post on fashion in the near future? It is cool how you have made old things new again. I would love to hear more about what you do and how you keep your children plus family so well clothed. That is a major issue in this economy. Thanks if you can.
