Eleven.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I post a picture and just a few words. Except when my children have birthdays, at which point I post photos with abandon.

It's the time of year when a scroll through my photo files feels a little like deja vu.

Didn't we just have a pile of presents atop the piano?

We did indeed, because it's birthday season at our house.

This time, it's Sonia's turn, and she's now 11.

Presents were opened.

By the way, do you recognize her Schoola sweater?

Cake (er, ice cream cake) candles were lit.

Sonia counted to make sure there were 11.

  1. Happy birthday to Sonia! Judging by Sonia's expression in the photo, there must have been a good present in the polka dot gift bag!

  2. I love that it is birthday season -- how efficient! Though I imagine it's hard to get as worked up about the last birthday in the string than the first.

    1. I dunno...it might be smarter to spread them out a little more! Then you might have more energy for each birthday.

The good thing is that there's nearly a month between Sonia and Lisey, so that's a little bit of time to restock birthday energy. 😉

  3. I've been following your blog since I was pregnant with my oldest daughter (who is not 5 1/2). I can't believe how big your kids are getting. 🙂 Very fun. You do birthday's right at your house.

  4. Happy Birthday to all at the FG house. It has been great to watch everyone of you kids grow up. I have been following for ...a while. Thanks for sharing.
