There's something new in my ears.

This giveaway is now closed. Congrats to Michelle, Wanda, and Kathleen! You've been emailed.

No, it's not a new piercing. 😉

It's some new earrings. And I have some to give away to you guys too!

They're from Ruby Wallet, a site that sells discount jewelry by buying overstocks from stores like Macy's and Nordstrom. So, they're a good site to visit if you're looking for a jewelry bargain.

Because they carry overstocks, the quantities of each piece is limited, and the stock is always changing. There's a handy-dandy slider below each piece that lets you know how high or low the stock is at the moment.

Ruby Wallet carries some veddy fancy real diamond jewelry at marked-down prices, but since I knew that like me, you guys probably are loathe to pay for even marked-down diamonds, I said that I'd like to try some of Ruby Wallet's most affordable options...their earrings.

I got a pair of hammered silver teardrops...

A pair of double-O ring dangle earrings...

And a 5-pair Cubic Zirconia set.

I think I might actually be the most excited about those! I tend to wear larger earrings (hoops or dangles), but I like the change of pace these studs provide. And I think I might give the tiny pair to Lisey...they're the perfect size for her ears.

The only one of that set I don't love is the biggest pair. When cubic zirconias are small, they can be pretty convincing, but when they're that size, it becomes a little more obvious that they're not the real thing. But, I love all four of the other pairs, so I'd still choose this set again if given the chance.

What do I like about Ruby Wallet thus far?

-The jewelry isn't cheap junk.

As you know, I like to buy things that are well-made because they last longer. All of the earrings I got from Ruby Wallet are sterling silver, which means that they won't irritate my ears or Lisey's, and I know they won't become dull or discolored like cheap jewelry does.

-The selection isn't overwhelming and it changes frequently.

You know how I like Aldi because its size is less overwhelming than Wal-Mart's? Well, I feel the same way about Ruby Wallet. It's nice to have a smallish, ever-changing selection...it doesn't take long at all to quickly scroll through the offerings to see if they've got what you're looking for.

Let's see...there are a few Ruby Wallet deal tips you should know.

There's a Valentine's sale going on right now, and they're giving away some diamond jewelry on their Facebook page. And, every day on their homepage, Ruby Wallet offers one piece of jewelry at a deeper discount than usual, for one day only. So, keep an eye out...you might be able to get a sweet deal on something for yourself or someone else.

Ruby Wallet has offered to give away three pairs of earrings to three of you! You'll receive the same three pairs of earrings I did, actually.

(If you happen to be a reader who doesn't have pierced ears, you could always enter to win these for someone you love. 🙂 )

To enter, just visit Ruby Wallet and then leave comment telling me which item you'd be most likely to choose.

-Winner will be chosen at random on Wednesday, February 8th.

-One entry per person, please.

-No purchase necessary.

-This giveaway is limited to residents of the United States (Alaska and Hawaii included!)

  1. Well-- I would love a pair of 1ct. diamond studs (in my dreams) but in reality, I think the smokey topaz earrings are stellar.

  2. I would love the 2K black diamond studs but would never spend even that much. I'd probably choose the silver wire wrap earrings or the silver chalcedony drop earrings.

  3. I love the 1/4 ct (diamond with black in it) ring! It's marked down to $59, saving $301. Thanks for the opportunity Frugal Girl:) The earrings you chose are pretty too:)

  4. I love the 1/4ctw round diamond stud earrings. I had a pair my husband gave me for our wedding but lost one 🙁 So I'd love to have another pair at these prices. Thanks for the tip.

  5. Love the silver filigree teardrops, and the silver eggbeater drops. And the amethyst heart set on their first page would be so cute for my daughter. Might need to do me some shopping!

  6. I love so many of the pendants (since I don't wear earrings myself) - but especially the heart and cross pendants! Just beautiful and incredible prices!!

  7. I love the 1/4 carat diamond studs! I usually wear something simple like small pearl earrings. I am a SAHM but I still like to look nice. Cool website!

  8. I love purple, so it would be the 14K amethyst tourmaline earrings for me. I've bookmarked the site for future shopping!

  9. There was a ring on the first page that caught my eye- and I simply do that wear rings other than my wedding ring, but the 14K 1 Carat Diamond Band is just beautiful. But for something I would actually wear, I really like the pearl drop earrings.

  10. So many things to choose from, I love the 1/4 diamond stud earrings, I really dont wear hoop earrings anymore.

  11. I love the little heart pendant on the first page of necklaces. It is so cute and exactly what I have been looking for. What a neat site. Thanks Kristen

  12. I like the silver faceted onyx earrings. Site bookmarked, "liked" on FB - now to send it to DH!

  13. Love this website! Thanks! I would choose the silver hammered hoops or the 1/4 carot diamonds if I could afford them! 🙂

  14. I am a stud wearer so the cubic zirconia would be fun to wear. All the earrings look good on you and your girls will eventually want to try out your collection so now is a good time for you to keep adding some fun earrings for your daughters too. Earrings are about the only jewelry I wear since it helps bring some sparkle to the face and is simple to wear everyday.

  15. I went to their site, and since I am February birthday girl, I love the Amethyst diamond bracelet for $44.00...wow.

  16. I love their amethyst earings and tanzanite studs - i usually wear the same pair of studs because 'they match everything' - it would be nice to get something different, little more colorful. I just may have to get myself a pair. Thank you so much for introducing this site, it is definitely a great find, Valentines day or not.

  17. I couldn't find any earrings that would suit my taste of TINY TINY earrings, but I LOOVE your necklace! Where'd you get it?

  18. I would choose the white gold diamond Cross. I am going through a rough time and He has never left my side.

Thank you Frugal Girl. Your site is fun to read and keeps me focused on what is most important!

  19. To be honest, I'd probably get the hammered teardrop earrings, too! Simple, but with a twist! 🙂

  20. I really like the Silver Cubic Zirconia Stud Set. I would be able to share them with my 16 yr old daughter and not be horribly upset if she happens to loose one.

  21. There were many earrings that I liked, but I would like something like the Silver Eggbeater Drops. Thanks for sharing this site. I'll definitely be bookmarking this for future use.

  22. So many nice things. I like your double O dangles, but I would most likely use the studs more frequently. I like dangles, but I tend to wear studs more often.

  23. I would choose the Silver Amethyst Ring because my daughter will be 15 the end of February and her birthstone if Amethyst. She would love that ring!
I loved everything on the site pretty much.

  24. What a fun site! I am a hoop girl so either the white gold or sterling silver would be my choice 🙂

  25. I LOVE cubic zirconias! As for the size being obvious as to whether they are real, I could care less about it! For me, it's about the style. If they have the same look of diamonds at a fraction of the cost, I go that route. When I see people with real diamonds, I often think to myself of how foolish they are for buying the real thing when they could get a nicer looking fake.

  26. I would choose the silver amethyst twist pendant. It would go great with an outfit of mine! And very reasonable in price!

  27. The silver turquoise sunbursts are really beautiful, but it was hard to choose just one. I love silver and wear silver earrings almost exclusively.

  28. I really like the silver blue topaz pendant. It's beautiful and has a lovely vintage look to it. I LOVe earrings, too 🙂 🙂 That's the one piece of jewelry that I wear all the time 🙂 Thanks for hosting the giveaway 🙂 Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather 🙂

  29. I love Turquoise so any turquoise earrings for me. I also like the 5 pairs of the Cubic Zirconia set.

  30. It's a serious toss up between the black diamond hoops and the 1/5 Carat Black Diamond, but I keep going back to the cushion cut ones and at $39- that's a steal!

  31. Oh wow, pretty earrings at affordable prices! I have sensitive ears too, and can rarely find sterling at good prices. I would either choose the silver eggbeater drops or the silver hammered twist.

  32. I checked out the bracelets and love the cranberry pearl bracelets. I have a necklace that matches beautifully.

  33. Since my father just died I would have picked the little girl necklance, so being that I need earrings the Sterling Silver Turquoise Drops would do for me and I would wear them thinking of my father. Would never spend this much for jewelry so they must be some valuable items.

  34. Oooo! Lots of pretty! I especially live the black and white diamond hoops, but I'd be happy with almost anything 🙂

  35. The double strand turquoise bracelet is lovely - what a great way to add a pop of color to an outfit! Thanks for sharing about Ruby Wallet.

  36. I really like some of the black diamond rings they have-and I saw a few under $100-that's my kind of jewelry.

  37. The double cirlce silver drop earrings are so cute and not to distracting when I teach. What a fun site!

  38. What a fun website! Thanks for sharing! I like the silver twist drop earrings and the silver o drop earrings. I also like the Agate stretch bracelet! 🙂

  39. The silver Tahitian pearl drops are lovely, but of course I would be more than happy to win the lovely silver ones you also have. Thanks for the chance to win!

  40. I like the silver faceted onyx earrings. I have a broken wrist and putting earrings on is impossible! These would be lovely with casual to dressy and I could get them on.

  41. I would probably choose the 14K 3/4 Carat Black Diamond studs because they are different and unlike anything that I have or the 1/4 Carat Diamond Studs. Thanks so much for sharing about this website! It is good to know about!

  42. I think I like the double circle earrings that you are wearing. I liked lots of their stuff, however.

  43. I like the diamonds by the yard necklace. They do have a lot of lovely things! Thanks for sharing!

  44. Great site, especially for gifts! They have a really pretty "sterling abstract pendant" that would be quite versatile for many outfits!

  45. There are so many great options! I really like the Silver Faceted Onyx Earrings if I had to pick just one!

  46. Silver Quartz Pearl Drops for me too. I need something to match a citrine bracelet I have, and love, but don't have earings to match.

  47. I like the teardrop earrings that you have on. I think that given the opportunity, I would get them! 😀

  48. I love the studs that you picked out! You get so many and it would be easy to switch them out every so often depending on the day. 🙂

  49. I would take any of the black diamond earrings, or a simple pair of silver hoops.

  50. oh, the whole section of the ear rings is cool, I think I would get some small hoops or something that has to do with amethyst....one of my favorite gems:)

  51. Wow, this is so great of you to do !
If it were me, I would choose the Silver Blue Chalcedony.
Blue is my favorite color and I have many silver bracelets I've collected
(gifts from my husband , one for each anniversary) soon to number 30 in Oct.
I'm happy that you let us know about Ruby Wallet, it's great !
    Thanks so much,
    elise

  52. The first thing that caught my eye was that silver blue topaz pendent necklace. So beautiful!

  53. I like the 1/3 carat diamond ring that looks like interweaving ribbon. I've looked at rings like that for quite some time & have never bought it because of the price.

  54. The black diamond studs are really beautiful but pricy.....that stuff would have to be a gift from my hubby.....he doesn't check price tags like I do. 🙂

  55. So many cute things there.... hard to decide. I'm a sucker for blue so.... the Tanzanite Round Studs . I may do some shopping there.

  56. The tourquoise outline earrings are really pretty. I also like the teardrop earrings you were wearing.

  57. Thank you so much for telling us about this site! My husband was super excited about it too. 🙂 My two kids' birthdays are February and April, so I'm drawn to jewelry that represents their birth month stones: Amethyst and Diamonds. So my favorite piece on Ruby Wallet is the Silver Amethyst Twist Pendant. 🙂

  58. If I had to choose just one, it would be the Silver Cubic Zirconia Hoops. I just love those with so much bling!!

  59. I like the turquoise drop earrings and am also partial to those 1 carat diamond studs, that is a steal at that price. I still couldn't afford it but for diamonds yeah awesome price.

  60. I like the 14K Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire Heart. Also I like the Silver Dangle Pendant. Honestly, they have a lot of great stuff and I can hardly choose. Will have to go back and look again soon!

  61. I fell in love with the Silver Heart Earrings! I love sterling and I love hearts!!! Such great prices on everything!!! Thanks for the tip about this site!!!!

  62. My favorite was the silver heart earrings. I saw several other pair that I know my daughter would love!

  63. Wow. Will definitely bookmark this one! I hope I can save up got the platinum ruby ring before it is sold out!

  64. I would like a pair of Silver Blue Topaz Earrings 🙂 Thanks for sharing this website with us!

  65. I love the diamonds but realistically I would love the 14k white gold tube earrings. (The less expensive ones.) They would be wonderful for everyday. 🙂

  66. I must say that I love the silver hammer twists. They are all really pretty. Some of those sparkly ones are stunning!

  67. I like the colored drop earrings they have, like the Silver Blue Chalcedony ones. Though this site really has a lot of nice stuff!

  68. I would go for the largest black diamond studs. In reality I would buy the silver lace.

  69. First of all, you are Beautiful! Thank you for continuing your blog. I look forward to receiving it. :). I would pick the amethyst pendant necklace. Thank you for the heads up on this cool website as well. My mom and grandma will definitely appreciate something so nice and I will appreciate the savings. Have a great week! 🙂

  70. Blue topaz sounds lovely...or the zirconia. I may just give the whole shebang to Daughter, anyways -- she loves jewelry!

  71. I love the Silver Amethyst Twist Pendant. I've recently developed a love of the color purple and the design and color of that piece are wonderful.

  72. wow I love silver earrings - gold makes my ears itchy but silver has never bothered me. I think I narrowed it down to the silver eggbeater drops for $29.00 but boy I was jotting down other stuff like the silver heart earrigns, silver twist earrings, silver hammer earrings, sterling silver hoops, silver hammer twist earrings..may have to do some shopping! didn't make it to the bracelets and necklaces yet!

  73. I'd go for the rubylicious deal of the day, topaz ring, enjoy the color, and I don't like rings that stick out because they get caught on things and I work with my hands so much;)

  74. I usually don't wear jewelry, just my platinum wedding band. I pierced my own ears when I was 13 with an ice cube and safety pin. I didn't do a very good job so the holes aren't symmetrical 🙂 I wore earrings for a couple of years as a teenager and then stopped.

What I did remember as I browsed the Ruby Wallet site was that I had a silver bracelet that I loved, again as a teenager. So I browsed the bracelets and saw a lovely Sterling Silver Garnet and Diamond bracelet that I could see my self wearing. However, I'm trying to decide if a 7" length would just be too big around my wrist?!

Btw, I'd give the earrings to a friend who would love them 🙂

  75. I love all your new earring, but I would select the Silver Message Link Bracelet for myself.

  76. The prices are incredible! I really like the amethyst heart set...may have to drop a few hints to Tommy...

  77. I like the silver eggbeater earrings. I usually where gold so I could would give them to my daughter. Great prices. Thanks for putting us on to this site.

  78. What a cool site! This is exactly the kind of site I would NEVER visit - just assume it was a scam - but thanks to your endorsement, I added to my favorites. I checked out the earrings, and really loved that they have a lot of dangly earrings that are look nice, not cheap. the length on most is exactly what I would wear. Thanks for the recommendation!

  79. The silver twisted drop earrings! I love this site. Thanks for sharing it and for the giveaway

  80. I love those double O drop earrings you're wearing! I would love some new jewelry. That's something I tend not to spring for myself!

  81. Great website. I would pick the Silver Amethyst Flower earrings. hmmm....my birthday is coming up. I may have found my present.

  82. I've just pinned a bunch but the single set I like the most are the 14K Citrine Drop earrings. I hate being a frugal girl with expensive taste. 🙂

  83. What a wonderful find! I love the cherry quartz drops and they would look perfect for work on Valentines day!

  84. I love the double O earrings... I like a "slight" dangle but nothing too large, I have really curly hair and they tend to get all tangled up!!! 🙂

  85. It would probably be the 14k white gold hoops or I really want a cuff bracelet lately so maybe the Silver hammered cuff

  86. I loved all their jewelry, but the white gold hoop earrings would fit my style perfectly! 🙂

  87. I liked the dangly tear-drop earrings you were wearing! Thanks for doing this giveaway!

  88. I love the silver teardrops that you're wearing! I tend to go for more simple designs like that and am less of a fan of stones.

  89. So many beautiful items to choose from! I think I'd go for either the silver hammered teardrops or anything with amethyst as both my son and my husband have February birthdays.

  90. I'm loving the Ruby and White Topaz ring... not that I need (or would wear) a ring. The quarter carat diamond twist necklace is calling my name right now...

  91. Well, since I've been wanting a pair for a long, long time, I'd have to choose the diamond stud earrings...1/4 carat for budget's sake.

    Sharon @ mrs. hines class

  92. I would most likely get the silver message bracelet. My daughter is getting married this spring and it would be a great gift for her from me.

  93. This is a great website! I've never heard of it, but some of this jewelry is incredibly priced!

I'm always looking for a new necklace to wear, and I really like the sterling silver double circle necklace. I think it would look great with a lot of different things!

  94. There are so many nice things on the site. I liked the onxy drop earrings and also the garnet ones and the ones you selected are nice too. It does seem that they have a good variety in style and budget. Thanks for letting us know.

  95. I would definately choose the vintage diamond cross as a gift for my "soon-to-be" 21 year old daughter as a birthday gift. She has been commenting on wanting to get a cross as she doesn't have an adult version...Thanks so much for the chance Frugal Girl!

  96. Wow! Now I know where to go to buy jewerly 🙂 It's so hard to find nice pieces I can afford. I really love the Silver Twist Hoops and the Silver Eggbeater drops, and, and, and . . . 🙂 Thanks for the great link and chance to win some nice earrings!

  97. I would love the silver amethyst drops. Thanks for posting about the site! It's always fun to find more places to buy nice jewelry that won't break the bank.

  98. If price weren't an issue, I'd want a pair of real diamond studs. I also really like the simple silver hoops, and that's a jewelry "staple" I actually d0n't have!

  99. I would love to get that 14K 1/2 carat diamond ring some day since my wedding ring doesn't fit me anymore after having 4 kids:( this is a very cool website!

  100. If money were no object, the ruby and platinum ring is be-u-ti-ful! Love it! But in my real life, I'd probably be most likely to purchase the silver vine earrings or the white gold hoops!

  101. I love the chocolate pearl bracelet and also the black diamond frog necklace. I'm torn. Thanks for doing the giveaway!

  102. What great deals! The silver rose filigree earrings are definitely what I would choose for myself.

  103. I would most definitely choose the Silver Faceted Onyx Earrings for $24.99. They would go great with a necklace I already own. Priced well too. What a great resource, Kristen! Thank you for sharing (though I'm pretty sure my husband does NOT thank you *wink*).

  104. Love the silver smoky quartz drops & think my daughters would too. Thanks for sharing Ruby Wallet website, will use it in the future.

  105. I would love the sterling silver hoops! They look very versatile. Thanks to you and Ruby's for this opportunity!

  106. This is so fun! I looked through the whole site as if money were no object and I'm loving the 1/3 Carat Diamond Ring!

  107. I think the 14K 1 carat ring would be great to replace the one I currently wear that is missing a stone...

  108. Lots of nice stuff. I'd probably pick the silver egg beater drops - because they're pretty and the name makes me giggle.

  109. The wire wrapped heart is pretty. I like more casual necklaces and will wear my sparkles in my ears. 🙂

  110. There are so many pretty things there. I think I would go for the Silver Filigree Teardrop earrings. They are lovely.

  111. Anything of the black/white variety. I have always wanted one but never broke down to get one.

  112. I would get the 14K white gold hoop earrings...my wedding ring is white gold and I've been wanting matching earrings ever since we got married (nine years ago :)).

  113. Of course I would like a new pair of diamond studs! But I think the silver wire wrap heart necklace is cute, I would like that!

  114. Those Silver Hammered Teardrop hanging on your ears are gorgeous! Are they heavy. I'd would love to win a pair of those. I am afraid my ears are too tiny for them. But I still think they are gorgeous!

  115. The Silver Twist Drops earrings have a beautiful fludity of movement. Like pretty, tiny sculptures you get to wear around. Lovely.

  116. I love their 14K 1 Carat Black Diamond earrings! They are a bit too expensive for me right now but someday maybe. So pretty!

  117. I love the Siver Message Link Bracelet. Its simple encouraging words are beautiful and would be a constant reminder. So lovely to own or to gift someone dear.

  118. I've been wanting diamond studs forever, but I'd settle for some quality CZ studs at this point!

  119. Lovely earrings! I personally love the black diamond earrings, they're so simple and chic.

  120. Thanks for pointing us to this great site! I'm thinking of ordering the silver hammered drop earrings for my daughter's godmother. Fabulous!

  121. I like the pink pearl drop earrings! If I were going all- out, I would order the diamond heart necklace and the diamond drop earrings!

  122. Oh my word! A friend just asked me yesterday what would I choose if I could have unlimited anything I said jewelry. I just can't afford the pieces that I really want. And then you introduce us to this site! Why oh why!

Ok so my ultimate first choice would be the black diamond hoops. I lurvs those! LOL

  123. I do love the diamond studs and the Vintage Diamond Cross...but in reality I'd probably buy (if I were actually going to buy something!) the silver link bracelet or something very practical and everyday-ish!

  124. My wife is an earring enthusiast, so I know she'd love just about anything from this site - but she'd especially love the amethyst hoops and the silver tear drops.

  125. They are all so nice but I like the cubic zirconia stud set. It is simple enough for everyday wear. 🙂

  126. I really like the Silver Genstone Heart Pendant set of 5 on chains for $49. I could split them up into 5 different gifts for around $10 each--not bad! If I were to get something for myself, though, the silver blue chalancy drop earrings with the fish hook tops for $14.99 would be what I'd pick, b/c I wear that color a lot. Ususally, I just wear very tiny stud earrings, b/c I have very small ear lobes and lopsided ears!

  127. I like the Silver Cubic Zirconia Stud Set. It's a great discount, and my husband likes studs best!

  128. The Silver Amethyst Drop earrings seem like a real steal at only $12.99 and since purple is my favorite color, I might just have to splurge.

  129. I'd like the studs that you picked out. I generally wear dangly earrings, so a nice pair--or five--of studs would really expand my options.

  130. The black diamonds look beautiful. I do wish that I could enlarge the pics in my iPhone to see it all better.

  131. There's some lovely black diamond studs on there right now that really caught my eye. Normally I'm not a stud person or a diamond person, but they just really grabbed me for some reason. 🙂
