Thankful Thursday | a short one from me
New here? Thankful Thursday is something we've been doing in these COVID times; an exercise to help us hunt for the good that is in our lives and in the world, even in the midst of a pandemic.

I am thankful
that Sonia does not appear to have EDS
(EDS= Ehlers Danlos Sydrome)
She's got a few of the symptoms, so her pediatrician referred her to a geneticist. We had a telehealth appointment, and it looks like Sonia just has some hypermobility, not EDS.
So, that's good news. We're supposed to follow up with the geneticist in two years, just in case something changes, but for now we are good to go.
that Lisey is all set for the start of college
She's all transferred over to a four year university now (online, of course!). It was a lot more steps than we'd anticipated, but she got 'em all done and now she's one step closer to her degree.
for a break in the heat
July was awfully hot (so many days in the mid 90s) but the forecast for the rest of August looks like a lot of 80s instead of 90s.
I know it's still going to be humid, but I'll take the lower temperatures, at least!
for the internet
I've been thinking again about how terribly much harder things would be right now without it. I know life isn't close to being normal, but the internet has made so many things possible while we follow social distancing guidelines.
that COVID stats are holding fairly steady here
We have a good testing positivity rate and there are so many fewer ICU patients and deaths as compared to springtime. Hopefully that'll continue to be the case.
for some good Stitch Fix purchases
Lisey helped me pick out some things from the Shop Your Look section and hey, I'm keeping a bunch of what we chose! I think I am actually going to use up my credit this way.
I promise I will show you what I got; I just need to photograph it all.
that my eBay listings are consistently selling
I sold one for $33, and another one is almost at $20 with one day left on bidding.
So, two more books are leaving my house this week!
Clutter out, money in. Yes, yes, yes.
I've sat here for a while trying to think of anything else to add to my list, but I think it's just going to have to be kind of a short one for me.
Which maybe is because I am writing this post before I've had breakfast. My brain is not functioning at 100%.
So, I'm going to go eat breakfast and turn it over to you. 🙂

I am thankful for the Lord and all the Bible resources we have available online. I'm thankful for my hard-working husband. I am thankful for good and affordable health care. I am thankful that no one close to me has contracted the COVID virus. I am so so so thankful for air conditioning.
I am thankful that our air conditioner stopped working on Monday, because when I came home from an errand the air conditioner repair truck was in the drive way so I parked on the street - I almost never park on the street. Monday night our neighborhood was hit by the big wind storm. A large section of the oak tree in our front yard came down (the section was bigger than many trees) and it fell in our drive way and missed my car on the street, our front porch and my neighbors house!! We are going to have to replace the air conditioner but it is 20 years old and we knew it would need replacing soon.
Also thankful that the refrigerator we ordered in June was finally delivered. We were replacing a working refrigerator with broken shelves (could not be repaired) so the wait was not that bad but it is nice to have a refrigerator with enough shelves.
Ohh, what a happy thing to miss a falling oak branch. Whew.
I am very thankful that the nasty heat of July has settled down to high 80s. Also there is a magical touch of crispness in the early mornings = a promise of Fall.
Another good sign, but not appreciated, is that crickets are trying to enter the house--where our cat runs them down and eats them (leaving the legs, too hard and crunchy!)
I am thankful that my urge to sew has returned. I have 3 long-sleeved cotton dresses cut out ready to make for The Fall.
I m thankful that our daughter and her family remain healthy in Central Texas after my daughter had a life-threatening run-in with 2 ground bee stings--ending in an ambulance run to the ER room and then 5 days in hospital. She was in a life-threatening condition.
I am thankful that we live on a hill. There is flooding all around us after the heavy rains.
I think that I would love to try living on a hill one day. I keep thinking that the view from being up higher would be a fun change from living among the trees like I do here!
I lived on top of a hill for 24 years. It was GREAT until you had to get home after a long bike ride.
That is a very good point. Our neighborhood is super flat, so the end part of a bike ride is always easy!
I love living on my hill (even if I don't own it). The view is amazing. I love watching the storms roll in or rain far off. Of course, the wind is a force to be reckoned with.
Thankful for
1. Family
2. Good health
3. My funny animals in quarantine
4. That I still have a job
5. That I have finally been able to RESTOCK TOILET PAPER in METRO DETROIT!!
A stash of toilet paper is such a comforting thing. 🙂
I am thankful we made it to our campsite near Crested Butte, CO without any wrecks! A big fire closed the interstate, so everyone traveling from Vail/Denver to the western side of the state, or vice versa, had to take the winding and narrow Hwy 50 that we were taking to our destination. My WORD the traffic was insane! But we're here now and it's gorgeous. I'm also very thankful for our cat sitter and our great neighbors who watch over things while we're gone. Finally, I'm glad God is answering prayers because our power at home went out and I was really concerned all the stuff in our freezer would be ruined...but it's supposed to be restored within an hour! YAY!
I hope your the rest of your camping trip is peaceful!
Perpetually thankful for jobs we can work remotely. I have been busier than ever, and I am also thankful that my husband (who is also working remotely and busy) is the kind of partner who willingly splits shopping/cooking chores with me on a daily basis without me needing to ask.
Thankful for the landscaping crew that is finishing up repairing our paver patio that was suffering from our neglect. They leveled some places where bricks had sunk and where roots invading had caused them to pop up. It cost quite a bit, but another landscaper had said we needed to remove/start over. This was a small fraction of that cost, and it looks like new! Now we will hire these guys to do some annual maintenance to prevent a repeat and will sing their praises to our neighbors to send some more work their way.
About to take 2 kids back to out of state colleges. Thankful for my sister who will stay with my youngest so we aren't taking her to a covid hotspot unnecessarily.
Thankful for our school district administrators/teachers/coaches who are planning for a remote start to keep our community healthy. I appreciate all of their hard work and their willingness to come up with creative solutions.
I have been depressed about our country's political situation the last 3.5 years. I am thankful to have a little bit of hope this week. I had almost forgotten what it feels like. I am thinking about what I can do to make progress locally given my time constraints and covid.
I'm thankful for:
1. My husband - my best friend's husband passed away this week and it makes me realize how lucky we are to still have him in our lives
2. Gifting items via the "buy nothing" Facebook group in my area. It's nice to be able to get things out of the house that we will no longer use and give them to someone that can
3. Having fast and stable enough internet for my husband to be able to work from home.
4. Being able to exercise indoors using streaming services or the gym at my office. It's too hot and humid in Alabama to be outside for long
5. Being able to text and call my friends. Even though we can't physically get together, we are still able to be there and support each other
Amen on the good internet! Every time I hear about remote college learning, I think about those kids with internet challenges. So many people don't have the bandwidth for a video session!
I am thankful for my church community. I bent my mower blade on a large rock. I'm almost passed the age I should be mowing anyway, Put out the need in my church page and within an hour am set up with routine mowing by one of the young guys. Then a short while later had someone willing to remove the blade and get a new one.
I am thankful for my dog. In these COVID days, the lack of hugging and just touching is difficult. At least I can love on my dog.
I am thankful for fruit season. I have been making smoothies almost daily as a meal replacement. (Side note: I complained about getting the protein powder that had stevia in an earlier post, it's not so bad "spread out" in the fruit blends.)
I am thankful for air conditioning. It isn't as hot right now, but it is a relief when it is.
And I'm grateful for internet contact with friends. It's not the same as in person, but it's better than snail mail which has it's place.
Oh, that's good you figured out a way to get that protein powder to an edible (or drinkable) place!
And yes, I thought about snail mail and how if we socially distanced in the 1800s, that would be our only option. Thank goodness for the speed of the internet.
Thank you for pointing us to thankfulness, Kristin!
1. My husband and I are on day 3 of a two week quarantine after being potentially exposed to COVID-19 on Tuesday. I am thankful that I really like the guy I'm quarantined with.
2. I am thankful that our friend with COVID-19 has only one symptom, a slight sore throat. He is not desperately ill and since he is less than 30, his prognosis should be good.
3. My family members are all well.
4. Our church meets outdoors now so we can attend Sunday's service in-person, staying in our car. We will get the benefits of live worship and put no one at risk.
5. Paper towels - I found some just before running out. With all the serious problems people around the world are working through, this is a silly thing. Never the less, I am thankful.
Oof, so sorry to hear you have to quarantine! Here's to good health for you guys and for your friend.
1) For a fun, but exhausting, mini camping trip with my parents, my kids, and my niece and nephew (kids are 2, 6, 6, and 10). My folks both have health issues, and could never handle the kids on their own. It was a gift to be able to give all of them (and me) some good memories from this COVID summer.
2) For my husband who joined us at the campsite for supper and helped me get packed up and the kids home.
3) For my delightfully comfortable bed. Sleeping on the ground is not as fun at 42 as it was at 22! My bed felt like heaven! (My folks have a little camper, so they were good. The kids and I tented).
4) For hot showers and getting all of the camping grime off before bed.
5) For being able to reduce my blood pressure medication. I've been eating mostly whole food, plant-based and exercising more, and it's paying off!
I am thankful for God’s faithfulness, daily, and His kindness through so many loving hearts. So many people have been so good to us!
Specifically, we have access to fresh food, a dry, snug, cool house . . . and our health.
Not to mention, we have each other.
And we have choices . . . I can say either Oh!No! Look what I can’t do . . . or Oh Wow, look what I [still] get to do . .
I can paint to my heart’s content, today because it is raining. Out door chores are on hold; so are indoor chores. 😉
I am thankful for a hubby that can fix just about anything in our motor home, that we have lived in since May 2019; I am thankful my dehydrator, slow cooker, Cuisinart, cereal bowls made out of wheat straw that just arrived (I hate plastic); I a thankful for being an artisan, making bead angels, snowflakes, Christmas balls and flower fairies for the Christmas tree; I am thankful that we are starting up our 3 businesses, ergo, bead creations as inventory; I am thankful for our motor home as I fell in love with it from the start...it is our home!; I am thankful for being able to spend time with our son in San Diego and his wife this past Christmas; I am thankful that we get to see our son here in Winnipeg, Canada and his lovely wife and our two grandsons; I am thankful that we get to help friends and family when they put out a call for help; I am thankful that hubby & I are still in love after being together for nearly 52 years (47th anniversary next month) and at 16 years of age, found my soulmate; I am thankful for being healthy after 30 years of health issues and hubby is healthy, too; I am thankful for being in a safe environment and thankful that we did not seem to get the Corona virus!
1. It won't last long, but I am thankful for a few days with highs of "only" 90 or 91. It beats what we've been having.
2. I am thankful that my daughter's fiance was able and willing to leave work and come check on my husband while I was at work. My kids and I all work a good distance away from my house. The fiance works about 10 minutes away from my house. My husband wasn't answering the phone and a workman called to tell me he didn't answer the door, either. Turns out, husband's blood sugar was very low, so the fiance checked his numbers, got him orange juice and food, and got his sugar back up to normal before returning to work. I think my daughter picked a good one!
3. I'm grateful for a $6 credit I got on an order, after a computer error didn't let me redeem $6 of reward points. I thought the money was lost, but no, the company put the credit back on my card and apologized nicely for the glitch. I made sure to be polite and friendly the whole time.
4. I'm always grateful for my family. They have made my life easier these last few difficult years.
5. I, too, am grateful for the internet. This isolation would have been worse, my job harder and slower to do, and I could not have worked from home for those several weeks without it. Internet has its downsides, but it has been very helpful here.
What a thoughtful and dependable fiancé your daughter has! It’s wonderful that he was able to help your husband, and that your husband is ok. 🙂
Grateful for...
* Finding a plan of eating that seems to suit me well (and is free and easy to follow!)
* Discovering a nice bike path not so far from my place, and having a good bike. Got in a quick 25k this morning, it felt amazing!
* Neighbors/friends that can help out and that we can help out when needed
* Celebrating my 10th wedding anniversary today. Not always been sunshines and rainbows, but we have been together for 13 years, built a family, and I am proud of us!
* In bulk, but in no particular order: a great husband, amazing kids, our health, a nice house, a reliable car, that schools are open and back on in 2 weeks, not much Covid cases in my region, having lost 20 pounds, good friends at work, having a job, chocolate cake in time of PMS, etc!!
Awesome long list! Happy Anniversary and many more!
Thankful for:
Being able to take our planned trip to Wyoming with our teens. We were able to do so in a safe manner and I'm grateful we could have this fun experience.
That our vehicle trouble in the middle-of-nowhere-WY ended up only being a dead battery. It died while we were at our VRBO rental which was SO much better than it could have been. We could get a jump from the VRBO owners and wait for the car parts store to open in air conditioned comfort.
That although my mom fell and got a lumbar fracture while we were gone, she is overall doing well in rehab now.
For masks which allow some semblance of safety when I need to get out and about.
For my neighbors who watched our cat while we were gone.
Tomatoes, green beans, Delicata squash, lettuce, garlic, banana peppers, carrots, basil . . .
I guess I could have just said "harvesting garden produce," but I like to wallow in the abundance. 🙂
Thankful that I was able to visit my 95 year old Mom at her Assisted Living Facility AND give her a real Hug!!! My Dad was there too! Both are well and have all their faculties.
Mary,
I understand how that feels, to see your loved ones living in care facilities and be able to hug them.
We were not able to visit our son who lives in a group home less than a mile from us, for over 2 months, even though the house only has 4 residents and my husband and I are the only ones who ever come to visit.
Like you I am so glad for being able to see him, and give him hugs again.Anyways, I am thankful for these blessings we are sharing together on Kristen's comment page.
I continue to be truly thankful for the same things: steady job with teleworking (no longer 100%, alas), dog, backyard, neighborhood that masks and keeps distance, and the resources to do what's needed.
- A very careful dentist.
- My parents got out of Florida safely. They could isolate very well but if they'd've had trouble if they'd needed medical care.
- Ability to buy a half dozen kitchen doo-daads when I finally decided I wanted to buy them (4 sizes of kitchen scoops because my old ones keep needing repair, poultry shears, small mandoline).
- Agent Carter.
I looove Agent Carter!
My husband and I are facing things together one step at a time. We make sure to start each day with a walk and a good talk.
My school role may not be entirely upended this fall. I will teach my subject area to my current students rather than reassignment in subject and grade level—phew, one less thing to worry about above and beyond you know a pandemic?!
Husband and I replaced a broken igniter switch in our oven without calling a repair service , saving us hundreds of dollars and yippee—oven works!
I dyed my hair, not exactly the color I love but it covers the gray and I saved quite a bit of money.
Our daughter is safe and starting graduate school on her own. So proud!
Thankful thankful thankful.
Thankful Thursday..1.hair cut on front porch by masked hairdresser. Looks great. Next time we will go out to eat after. 2. Stopped publix grocery order this week. Kroger online is cheaper. 3. Going to make cleaning supply buckets at dollar tree to take to St Vincent's for less fortunate again. 4. Making foil packet meat and veggie lunch to bake 375 for 1.5 he. 5. Elderly neighbor returned from hospital. She had pneumonia. She walks well. Fixes her meals
1.) I still don't know anyone affected by Covid and despite all my anxieties in life, I am as fearful of Covid as I am of being eaten alive by piranhas. I know of some people who are still scared that they won't even hug their kids ... whom they live with.
2.) My cucumbers are growing well and the potatoes survived the tropical storm. The pumpkins that my daughter planted (which I had zero faith in admittedly) are growing nicely and we may have pies in a month or two (probably will mature way before Halloween but that's okay because I don't celebrate it.)
3.) That my job is busy and relatively stable.
4.) I get to see my family this weekend.
5.) It's not super comfortable here weather wise but I will take that over snow any day.
Your number five is exactly how Mr. FG is!
I don't know why people would distance themselves from people they live with, except under certain circumstances (someone tested positive for COVID, for example, or someone works in a COVID unit).
We aren't worrying about distancing at all here at home. That just seems too hard and for too little point to me!
Your very lucky that you don't anybody with COVID 19. Am recoving from it. I have lost 2 good friend this week from the virus
I could name about 50 people I know who have it or have had it. My daughter and family just moved actress the country and are now just 6 hours from me. My sis snd I are planning a trip there in October if things settle down and nephew hasn’t visited for 2 weeks. I wonder where Battra lives- it’s even rampant in my little hometown in Iowa. Neither of my brothers will leave the house- they’re single, over 60 and would have no one to care for them.
I live in the northeast. Supposedly there are cases but no one I knew had it. Supposedly there are friends of friends but no one I'm acquainted with. I don't live near the big cities.
Illinois here. I am very careful although many people here are not, about getting COVID-19 myself, because I live alone, have health issues, and run a business, so can't be sick! I know several people who have been very, very sick, including young healthy men and women. None of them are back to their old selves yet, and probably won't ever enjoy perfect health ever again.
This week, Monday I went to a safe memorial service for a 56 year-old friend, and tomorrow I will carefully attend a graveside service for a 75-year old lady. This is not a joke or conspiracy. I learned today that another man I deal with in business died, too, although I'm not sure of the cause. t's like a STI- everyone you contact gets the effect of everyone else you contact, to some extent. It's super important to understand the whats and whys as far as precautions.
I am thankful for:
-farm shares and farm fresh produce
-a house in good repair
-coffee
-my husband who is in the trenches with me on being quarantined with small children
-nature
-my dad's chickens and their eggs
-health care
-regular pay checks
-the internet
-my neighbors
Thankful my kids and grandchild were able to visit before my dil gets back to teaching. If it is in person teaching they will no longer be able to see us.
That most places locally are dealing really well with distancing and mask requirements.
That I still have a job considering we are not allowed to open yet. This may push me over the I want to retire sooner than later but I will need something to keep busy as I really really really miss my co-workers.
That my dogs look at me around 10 am and wonder why their collars and leashes are not on...they want to walk.
We have had over a month of unusually highs for my area, mostly in the low 90's and I sure appreciate that the evenings are starting to cool off. Mid 60's cool.
Our maple tree has some red leaves. Too soon but I love fall.
Thankful for:
good health
good food
sufficient income
telework and good co-workers especially the cheerful ones
at home everything bagel with lox breakfast once a week
1. We seldom have really heavy thunderstorms with lightening. Yesterday afternoon we had a doozy, and the husband and I sat by our picture window for about 45 minutes and watched the sky light up and listened to the thunder. It was such a pleasure.
2. STILL getting raspberries. Now have 23 quarts in the freezer for winter. This is the best season, with not only the largest but the most berries ever. Don't understand it, since we have had the rainiest summer on record.
3. We had several major projects scheduled for the summer, such as demolishing and building a new storage shed, painting some rooms, fixing the dryer, replacing a kitchen spigot. All of them are done!
4. Went to the doctor for a yearly medication review and we realized that I just finished one year without an ER visit or surgery, for the first time in six years.
5. Found a zucchini bread recipe that uses a pound of zucchini. (https://alexandracooks.com/2007/07/19/zucchini-bread) I had to reduce the oil a bit but otherwise it is perfect, meaning both the husband and I like it. I have made a dozen loaves (but in muffin form) and used a friend's food sealer to make them freezer-ready. The muffin equivalent of thirteen loaves now waiting for winter. Between the muffins and the raspberries, half the freezer is full!
Yay for good health!
And yes, I love a good thuderstorm; it's so beautiful to watch as long as you are safe and dry.
I am thankful for:
1. Moving our garden from the side to the back of the property and getting the best yield we have seen in ten years! The soil is much more rich and fertile there!
2. For making the decision to homeschool after years of feeling the Lord leading us down this path - but always rejected the idea due to fear of it! And all my kids & husband on being on board with this decision
3. For having a swing set, pool and large property for the kids to run around on and get plenty of fresh air during this pandemic
4. For having great kids (5) who all love the Lord!
5. For being able to replace my stove and washing machine so quickly after the kicked the bucket within a week of each other!
I'm thankful for:
*My health issues being stress related and something that can be managed and dealt with
*My treadmill and the motivation to use it
*Air Conditioning-this summer has been so hot and I don't do well in the heat
*The school decision has been made. First ten weeks of school will be distance learning, which will be hard while also running a business. But I'm thankful that we could choose that option and now we know what to plan for.
*This blog and the encouragement and frugal ideas that I've been able to incorporate into my own life. I'm thankful for you, Kristen!!!
I continue to be grateful for my parents and how they demonstrated how to live with respect and kindness toward others.
I am glad to have accidentally discovered how consistently good the $1 store brand bags of milk chocolate salted caramels from Dollar General are.
I am thankful my husband is the kind of person who chose to get an extra bag when he went shopping for me.
I am thankful for you that Sonia doesn't have EDS. We have a friend with that.
I'm thankful for:
Finding a recipe that I like that uses our prolific collard greens.
Finishing 2 special order Happy Birthday banners, AND getting them mailed.
My mother dropping by for lunch outside.
A lovely cool and peaceful kayak at the lake
My daughter's summer college class being nearly over. It has been a doozy.
That my son, who is sick, tested negative for Covid.
1. That in all this time since March, all four family members living in our house have not wigged out at the same time. No one leaves the house to go to work so we are here together all. the. time. At least one person has maintained composure at all times and been able to pull the rest of us back. This is hard.
3. That my husband's job appears safe.
4. That I had a good facetime talk with a relative the other day. I avoid calling for far too long because we are very much on opposite ends of the political spectrum and I do not want to get into it with them. Thankfully, this call was good.
5. To copy Kristen - the internet. Besides all the covid-related reasons, I'm working on a huge research paper right now and I can't imagine trying to do it without it. Primary sources from colleges all around the country AND the Library of Congress? Yes, please!
I'm thankful that my husband's work (outdoors) and my own (at home) have yet to change. On a related note, I'm grateful the grounds he works at are open to the public, which means I can go for a long hike after dropping him off. Exercise makes an amazing difference on one's outlook for the day! His job is currently keeping both of us in shape.
Thanks to stocking up on sales and stacking coupons--my normal frugal way--we're good on household items for the foreseeable future. We go through an obscene amount of produce for health reasons, so weekly store trips are the norm, but our deep freezer helps immensely with loot gained from sales past and present. A forever thank you to the friends who gave us their deep freezer when they upgraded to a chest freezer a few years ago!
I'm especially thankful for my husband's continued health. We just ran the quarterly gauntlet of check-ups, and all is well! He had a BIG medical scare several years ago (my gray hair appeared shortly thereafter, incidentally! :P) , made all the more remarkable by his age at the time. That is, we're nowhere near middle-aged now, let alone then! While the three-month routine of labs and appointments isn't exactly fun, we lucked into an amazing doctor right out of the gate who genuinely cares about his patients. Yet another thing to be thankful for!
Lastly, something silly: I'm thankful I'm too cheap and lazy to dye my hair! My aforementioned gray is long enough now (mid-back, like the rest--1/3 gray, 2/3 dark blonde) that the streaks really show, and I love how it looks. Maybe I'd feel differently if it were just random gray, but since I know what caused it, I consider it hard-earned. ;P If anything, the streaks are a reminder of how much we have to be thankful for, with my husband still here and whole. <3
I'm right there with you on the lazy gray. I have tinsel-like gray hairs and I am just not motivated enough to do anything to them.
I am grateful for
* Peaches and watermelon
* Beach Days and Sunshine
* My beautiful children who have become awesome adults
* My sister who has moved close by
* The good health of my family and friends
- My 2 kids and the fun conversations I got to have with each one tonight.
- popcorn...I just love it so much
-our finances are doing much better than they were several months ago.
- the beautiful nature I get to live in
- and I'm with you Kristen, thankful for the internet!
I'd never heard of EDS but it reminded me of this: When our daughter suddenly found her kneecap on the side of her leg a doctor told her she was "a loose woman".
I am thankful that
I was able to buy disinfecting wipes at the store this morning. I had not bought any since before Covid Crazy times set in.
That I found a pair of running shoes for walking that are comfortable. My knee pain is greatly reduced. I ordered another pair and they will be tax free, since it is tax free week in Maryland.
That some friends and I have a place to meet weekly for charity knitting and crochet that is outside but protected from the sun and rain,
That is should be cool enough tomorrow to take a walk with a friend. It has been so hot that our weekly walks had turned into patio visits.
That I arrived at a friend's house yesterday for a scheduled porch visit just as a family crisis was unfolding. I was able to sit with her while she processed the difficult news. It's good to be needed.
That we are staying healthy and I'm learning to not sweat every outing as a potential for virus exposure. There is a lot of mask wearing and distancing.
That this is a weekly feature of this blog and that you post so often.
1) thankful that TFG ran a column about money mistakes yesterday -- the same day that DP brought home a container of feta dip from our local Armenian market that cost..... $26!!! I asked him if he knew how much he paid for it -- nope, he did not. Grrr.
2) thankful that the window AC that we have had in the basement still works after not being used for 15 years.
3) thankful that I still have my job and that I can do it from home for 2 more weeks.
4) thankful that our garden has been prolific in producing zucchini, cucumber, tomatoes, and herbs
5) thankful that I still enjoy cooking, and that my partner is willing to do all of the dishes
That dip had better be delicious!! 🙂
Maybe the zucchini, cucumbers, etc. would taste good with the dip?
I’m thankful for your blog! I sure would like a tutorial from you on how to sell on eBay or Facebook safely. Also, how you feel about Neighbor Next Door if you have that and what selling is like on that. Can you use older equipment like a four year old Lenovo laptop and an iPhone 6se? Thanks! Thanks
Sure! Can you tell me what your safety concerns are in particular? That way I can address them better.
Older equipment is totally no problem, by the way.
-that we have all kinds of healthy foods in our house
-that my husband thoughtfully sent birthday congratulations to a niece, when I forgot
-that milder temperatures are expected for the next weeks
-that we managed to sleep well for most of the past nights in spite of the heat
-that we are having a blissfull rainfall at the moment, refreshing the garden en filling up the rain containers
I am pleased that EDS has been eliminated. It isn't fun to have this problem.
My son voluntarily worked in a nursing home that had staff who had come down with the COVID virus. They did a very good job as now patients or other staff members caught the virus. Now if my boy could gain some more work it would be fantastic.
My mother has developed a lung condition over this winter and has been sick since February. Her medications seem to be helping her so that is a good start.
Since coughing spluttering and sneezing seem to rule our days I was so pleased to be able to buy some tissues at a great price. We use so many and I am loathe to go back to tissues.
Our state is keeping the numbers low which is fantastic.
1. Our scheduled return to our office was pushed back. I am not eager to return due to higher risk in my family and so far have been able to do 99.99% of my work from home so hoping that means I can continue to do so.
2. My brother getting his power back on after a week. Although it took a long time he only lost some food and he and his neighbors were not injured nor were their homes damaged. Also, the weather during that time was not too hot either.
3. My mom teaching us to cook as we grew up. I'm glad we are able to cook what we like to eat and know how to stretch food out for several meals.
4. Paper products are much easier to get. We are keeping one extra package of each type on hand just in case, but I refuse to hoard mass quantities.
5. Chocolate...some days just call for it!!
I’m thankful that my ankle fusion surgery on Monday went well and that here it is Friday night and the pain is very minimal. I’m also super thankful my husband found such an amazing surgeon for me.
