Since chatting about my faults on the internet seems to be a very effective way of helping me change, I’m going to talk about something else I’m not very good at. That something else is keeping track of my grocery spending. I know exactly how much I spend at my main grocery store, but I’m terrible at keeping track of my purchases elsewhere(like Coscto, or Target), and I’d like to get better at that. I budget for about $80 a week, and over the next few months as I track this more carefully I should get a better idea of exactly how close to that number I get. I’ll be posting this along with my menu each week, since I go grocery shopping near the end of the week.
This week at my main store(Weis), I spent $73, and then I sent my husband to Costco for a few things, and that trip was $33. So, I’m at $106 for this week, but last week I only spent $61 all told, which averages out to $83.50/week for this week and last week. So, for the moment I’m just about on budget.
