Food Waste Friday | Double Yes!

Every week, I post a picture of the food that has gone bad over the last seven days. I started doing this in March of 2008 to help motivate myself to use up my food instead of wasting it and it’s been very effective. Since it helped me so much, I invited other bloggers to join me in posting their food waste photos, and Food Waste Friday was born.

For the second week in a row, I have wasted nothing. Nada. Zilch. Zippo.

Woohoo!

I don’t know that I’ve ever had 3 no-waste weeks in a row, though, so it will be interesting to see if I can keep this up for next week.

I do apologize for the very boring no-picture-included nature of this post, though. If you can’t stand it, you can always hop over to the 365 page to see today’s picture. 😉

And if you didn’t already, be sure to enter to win a $50 Visa gift card over on my review page.

I had some problems with my scheduled posts showing up and I didn't notice it until this morning! Oops! But I did participate in Food Waste Friday this week! Another no waste week; yay me!! (And yay Kristen!!)

I LOVE this idea and will endeavour to post to help me cut down on my food waste. Having just moved back into my own place from my parents, I am getting used to cooking for one again, and on more of a budget than previously, and am finding it a bit of a struggle. I love the blog and read your posts with admiration and hope that I can force myself to be more like you!

Congrats on the no waste week! We are still working on a no waste week, but still have a bit to go. Thanks for the inspiration!

I did not fair well at all. Two baking potatoes and a butternut squash did not survive.
