Um, I can’t seem to stop taking pictures of my tomatoes.
Mr. FG was laughing at me last night because of how thoroughly I was recording this tomato. I thought it was interesting to see it from the top as well as from the side.
And then after I put my camera away, I noticed that the tomato looked pretty cool with the backlighting from the window. So, of course I took my camera out again.
I know I’m only supposed to post one picture here each day, but I’m not a very live-by-the-rules 365-er.

I happen to like all those views, so you not living by the rules works for me too. I love how Mr. FG was laughing and kidding about it. Often my husband and I kid each other about little things like that and it makes good memories and smiles.
Love the detail of the stem in your third shot. It’s great to find photos that capture the beauty in ordinary things!
These are really adorable. I’ve set the first photo to use as my desktop background. I moved my icons to the left side of the screen and now I’ve got a cute tomato on the right side. Thanks, Kristen!
Oh, that is a good idea! All the empty space is perfect for the icons.
I always L-O-V-E your pics! They are interesting, insightful and down-to-Earth.
Aww, thank you. I appreciate the encouragement!
My chickens only get to eat the tomato’s that we reject – the rotten ones, badly blemished or mishappen ones and ones attacked by birds or insects. No, they are not art lovers like you and your readers Kristen, they would launch into your beautiful tomato as excitedly as they would into one of my rotten ones, without giving it a second thought!
Anyway I loved the pictures even if my chickens would not appreciate them.
David.
I truly enjoy the pictures and you inspired me to take pictures of my house painting, my freezer jam making and spaghetti sauce. So no help given, keep it up! At 60yrs old I am still learning new and fun and frugal things to do thanks to you.
Yay! Pictures of everyday stuff are awesome.
I think it’s a gift to be able to find pleasure in the small things in life. It’s a very contented way to live life!
Love these — the last one looks like it’s wearing a very narrow, green, and fuzzy cowboy hat.
I know! lol The top of this tomato is what makes it so darn cute.
Every time I see that top picture (I’ve noticed you use it often), I think of the Lewis Grizzard quote, “It’s difficult to think anything but pleasant thoughts while eating a homegrown tomato.” If I were tech-savvy enough, I would “borrow” that picture and write that on there!
