Tuesday Tip | Use cashback sites when buying Groupons

This post contains referral links.

You can do this when you're buying Living Social vouchers too!

I'm sure you all know about Groupon and Living Social (sites that sell discounted vouchers for local entertainment, dining, and services), but did you know that you can maximize your savings by shopping through TopCashback or Ebates first?

As of this writing, TopCashback offers up to 10% cashback on Groupon and 7% on Living Social.

And also as of this writing, Ebates offers 9% back on Groupon and 8% on Living Social.

So, next time you see a great offer hit your inbox from one of these voucher sites, head on over to TopCashback or Ebates first.

It's like getting a discount on top of a discount!

And if you're still waiting to get enough cashback to redeem your signup bonus from TopCashback, this could be a great way to help you get there.

  1. I would love to use your links, but sadly since I'm in Canada I would need to sign up for ebates.ca and I took a look at the Canadian merchants for topcashback and I don't really use any of them.

That being said, great tip! Saving money on top of an already great deal is always SO fun!!!

  2. Also with Swagbucks Groupon is currently 10% Living Social 3%.
For me I would choose Ebates over TopCashBack. I use iBotta too. I don't buy anything I would not use and they frequently have offers for veggies or non brand items.
I don't use TCP anymore I did the last referral link and a Walmart offer last October and it took many support tickets to get them to pay it Jan 29, 2018. It showed payable at 14 days but was 14 weeks. They take a beating on their FB page.
    Love your blog!!

  3. I don't buy groupons all that often but I will definitely keep this mind when I do. I forget about ebates so thanks for the reminder! I will have to check into top cash back, I have never tried that one.

  4. Great tip. Thanks for sharing, Kristen!

Hubby and I look for deals on Groupon often, but we haven't bought anything on there yet. The restaurants that offer a discount on Groupon don't really appeal to us. Next time!

  5. I need to keep a watch out on Groupon, because they sometimes have local museums discounted, and I love to visit museums. The museum for kids with a learning center, farm, buildings and nature walk is a favorite -- I took my kids there and now I like to take my grandkids there. I haven't had much to buy through Top Cash Back yet. It seems every time I need to buy something on Amazon, it's not in a category that gets cash back -- same thing for shopping through Swagbucks. I keep trying, though.

  6. I go thru the American Airlines Shopping portal to earn frequent flier miles when purchasing Groupon or really anything that I need from the various stores that they have listed on their site. I've been able to take several vacations doing that.
