So, I started a second blog.

I realized yesterday that I told my email subscribers and Twitter followers about this, but I never said anything on my actual blog.

So.

In November, I started a tiny blog with somewhat tiny posts that are a tiny bit more personal than what I share here.

Kristen

Sometimes, there are awesome childhood photos of me.

The blog is called Kristen, prompted and it’s made up of short essays inspired by a list of daily writing prompts.

(I’m loosely using these prompts, but since it’s a public blog, I skip over some of the super personal ones. Or I modify them to be public-friendly, like I did with this one about forgiveness.)

I’m doing this blog mainly for fun; I like writing, and much as I love frugality, sometimes it’s enjoyable to write about other things.

Kristen as a kid

This blog is never going to go viral on Pinterest, and search engines are never going to send it a bunch of traffic. But that’s ok! I just want a place to put my thoughts down.

Anyway, getting traffic is not my main goal, but if you want to read what I write over there, awesome. 🙂

I usually post Monday-Friday, and you can subscribe to get post notifications via email if you’d like.

People often miss links I include, so just for good measure, here’s one more link to the new blog: Kristen, prompted.

And that’s all I’ve got for you today!

I love blogs like the new one you started and I would love to follow you! That said, have you considered also setting up a RSS feed for that blog? I read your Frugal Girl posts via my RSS reader and vastly prefer it to getting blog updates via email.

Hmm. The RSS feed should be set up. Can you not add Kristen Prompted in your feed reader? What feed reader do you use?

This makes me ridiculously happy! I've missed your personal voice. I just figured it was because your kids were turning into adults and striking out on their own. I am so glad you have a new corner of the internet just for yourself. I keep a journal on another forum and I find it very therapeutic. Can't wait to follow along!

Wonderful. I have missed you on this blog (as the frequency of posting has declined) and was concerned that you'd fallen away from blogging. I'm so glad you have shifted some of your energies and that you're sharing them.

I think your post on Forgiveness is powerful and spot on.

I love this, Kristen! It reminds me a little of the 365 / picture-a-day website that you had several years back. Looking forward to reading it, just like I do with your regular blog. And I adore your grandmother's wedding picture!

Kristen, your second blog looks delightful! And it's so nice to see you take the time to feed your creative soul in the midst of the very busy and productive life you lead. That's a great example you're setting. Good for you - and for your readers!

Yes, writing those posts really does feed my soul! It's sort of like how drawing or painting is cathartic for other people.

Thank you for your kind words!
