no power

we had some wet snow and wind last night and our powe has been out since 10 pm. i can only get online on the kindle, which is not good for blogging. hopefully it will come back on today because it is getting kind of chilly in here. i decided it is much better to lose power in the summer.

  1. Oh no bless your heart. If you ever use an emergency generator be sure it is well ventilated or it can cause death. Good luck.

  2. Oh no, I hope they restore power to you soon! We had about 15 inches here in NYC! Wrap up and drink lots of hot drinks! (Hope you have a gas stove!)

  3. Hope you have provisions for the length of time it will be off. This probably will happen more and more as the world adjusts. Keep warm and we will await your return to what we all call normal.

  4. We once went 13 days without power after a huge ice storm. We eventually got a generator, but it was still horrible. I had a three and a one year old at the time and we all slept on our mattresses in front of the fireplace. It was the worst camping trip I've ever not been on.

  5. Hubby measured here in Severn and we got 7 inches. Our power went out around 8 last night but came back on while we were sleeping. My parents house is still without power though...

Stay warm and cozy! Great time to cuddle up with the family and do a puzzle or something 🙂

  6. Oh no! Good luck. I hope the power comes back quickly or that you have accommodating friends nearby. And don't waste your remaining Kindle juice on us, OK?

  7. And what does the Frugal Clan do when the power goes out? I wonder if there were some no-bake items happening!

We always used to have fun with homemade tents when it was cold, without electricity and we were stuck indoors 🙂

  8. Well, it's afternoon now. Hope that your power has been restored. Ours went out in Arnold around 10pm last night too - was back up around 11am this morning. Buurr-I was fine until I had to get out of the warm bed & try to get ready for work 🙂 At least its daylight now. When the kids were younger, we'd open up the drapes and let the day light in - sitting around the dining room table playing board games. Fun times.

  9. Our power went out due to the Mid-Atlantic snowstorm for twelve hours from 8:45pm on the 26th to 9am on thr 27th as well! I feel your pain. Stay warm!

  10. I think we're getting gypped living in the Deep South this year. We're getting Yankee weather and we just don't know how to deal with it.

Hope you're better prepared than we are. Stay warm.

  11. No power...humm, I hope it does not result in a BIG Food Waste Friday for you next week. You are pretty awesome to think of your readers and deal with a power outage. Good luck today!
