Giveaway reminder (plus some wins and not-wins from ePantry)
Summer Giveaway!
Don't forget I'm giving away a box of some summery goodies! Plus, a bunch of other bloggers are doing the same, and some of their prize packs are HUGE.

(Links to all the other giveaways are right there in my giveaway post.)
ePantry
Secondly, I got an email from ePantry yesterday reminding me that I have a referral link that gives you $10 off an order plus a free $12.95 soy candle.

I've gotten two ePantry shipments so far, and I thought it might be helpful to share what I've loved (and haven't loved.)
Love
-The Method hand soap, foaming and non-foaming, is great.
-The soy candles are lovely, and we especially like the eucalyptus spearmint scent.
(This candle is a freebie you get when you order through my link, and I'm also including one in my summer giveaway!)
-The Seventh Generation paper towels are fine and dandy, except I accidentally ordered two 6-packs. Given our snail's pace paper towel consumption, this means I have enough paper towels to last me, like, 3 years.
Whoops.
Don't Love So Much
-The Method dish soap just does not seem to work as well as Dawn when it comes to dissolving grease on dishes. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great, so I think I'm gonna stick with Dawn.
-The Mrs. Meyer's laundry detergent works well, but the container it comes in is SUPER hard to use. It has no handle and is too wide and round to be easily grasped by one hand for pouring. Also, too much comes out too quickly, so I end up making a mess whenever I use it.
(This could be solved by pouring the soap into another dispenser, of course. The product itself isn't a problem, it's that the packaging is poorly designed.)
Aha...I just googled and discovered that I am not the only person who struggles to use this bottle. Hopefully Mrs. Meyers will redesign it at some point.

If you've ordered from ePantry before, what are your favorite items?
(Here's the link for the $10 credit and the free Grove candle.)

I love all things Method. I do like their hand soap, love their dishwasher tabs (the only eco-friendly dishwasher soap I've liked) and can't get enough of the scents for the wood floor cleaner, granite cleaner and shower spray.
But, I agree, I don't like their dish soap! Try Seventh Generation's dish soap...I like it much better. You just have to get used to a lot less bubbles than Dawn.
I've never tried ePantry, but I might give it a try. Thanks! I wonder if it's cheaper than just heading to Target?
I'm not sure it's cheaper than going to Target, unless you consider than when you order from ePantry, there's no chance of picking up 15 random items just because you're in Target. Ha. But it is convenient, and if you are an impulse shopper, shopping online like this can be helpful and money-saving.
Also, ePantry does a fair number of eco-friendly things, like contributing to funds that aid rainforest: https://www.epantry.com/rainforest
So, whether or not it's right for you depends on a lot of factors (like so many things in life!).
I'll check to see if ePantry has the Seventh Generation dish soap and if so, I'll give that a try. Thanks for the tip!
I haven't tried ePantry, but we recently switched back to Dawn from the cheapo pink stuff at Sam's Club. It was so much cheaper, but it just took so much more of it. It drove me bonkers!
Exactly. With other dish soaps, it seems like you put it in the sink and it just disappears. Dawn keeps the water soapy and removes the grease really well.
Is the referral only for those who are not already members? I've gotten two orders from ePantry. I don't think the prices are much better than elsewhere, but there are a few things I can't get elsewhere.
Not ePantry related — just stopping in (on a not-a-giveaway post) to say thanks for not using Rafflecopter. 🙂
Is it just me or is ePantry's site just horrible to try to navigate? Driving me crazy trying to order!!
Yeah I quit. Wouldn't seem to add $10 credit to my order and just picking items is an exercise in frustration. Wayyy easier to just go pick up at store.
I had the same thoughts about the Method dish soap - just doesn't work too well. But I love the other Method products!
Have you tried soap nuts? They're Eco-friendly and definitely frugal! We've been using them for over a year and I don't see us going back to homemade or regular laundry soap.
Embarrassingly enough, I have a small bag of them here that I never have tried! I guess I've been dubious about them...
I ordered from epantry 2x. Once because I used your 10.00 off code and another because my aunt ordered and I got her referral bonus. I cancelled after that. very expensive products, I can find the same method soaps at Target for .50 cents cheaper a bottle and I always have coupons. I bought the 7th generation dish soap and I hated it. Does not clean the dishes well at all. Also, we bought the method dishwasher detergent( little sachets) and they're ok. Finish works better with our hard water. Without the 10.00 credits, Epantry is too expensive. I'm not the kind of person who runs out of stuff and I'm always in Target so it just didnt work for me.
Good to know about the 7th generation dish soap. I was considering trying it, but maybe I'll just stick with Dawn!
