Five Frugal Things | Okay, six. I couldn't stop.

1. I took in the waist of Zoe's pajama pants.

She's in that unfortunate stage where the girls' sizes seem to get really wide at the waist (is it just me, or is this definitely a thing that happens past size 10 or so??)

altered pajama pants

But, she's not tall enough for junior's sizes yet, and that's when the waistbands really seem to come in.

So, we have waistband issues on pants that don't come with adjusters, like these pajama pants, which we bought because they have dogs on them and Zoe loves dogs!

I had her try them on, and then I pinned and sewed two little tucks to keep her pants up.

Luckily, this doesn't have to be a beautiful fix! It just needs to keep her pants from sliding down.

(I got around to this project because Zoe put it on the "I need Mom to..." list.)

2. I mended a towel.

Sometimes I wonder if kitchen towels are made with a special kind of thread that dissolves in laundry detergent.

Because man, mine always seem to be coming apart.

Luckily, this is a very easy fix, and since I already had the machine out for Zoe's pajama pants, it took only maybe a minute extra to sew this up.

3. I'm using up my friend's extra food.

She moved last week, to a state 6 hours away. Boo.

She couldn't take all of her food with her, though, so she sent a bunch home with me rather than throwing it away.

(The good thing about being known as a food-waste-avoider is that people give you their food when they move! This is not the first time it's happened to me. Heh.)

So, I'm making a point of cooking meals that use the extras she gave me, and it's kind of a fun challenge.

noodle bowls, made with a sauce using peanut butter and soy sauce from my friend 🙂

4. I put Zoe's zipper pull back together.

Her hoodie zipper pull came apart in the wash, and at first I thought it broke. But upon closer inspection, I realized it had just separated.

Luckily, I was able to find all the pieces in the washer, and I used a pair of needle-nose pliers to squeeze them back together. Sweet!

5. I put a Star Wars movie on hold at the library.

After my last Five Frugal Things post, a reader reminded me that my library might have the next movie for Mr. FG and the girls.   I hadn't thought to check there, as the DVD selection has gotten a lot slimmer in recent years.

But lo and behold, there it was on the website. Yay! And thank you, reader who suggested that!

6. Sneaking in a bonus one...

Sonia needs these special gel eye drops to use with her overnight contact lenses, and they are stupid expensive...like $18 for a little bottle. And the store-brand doesn't work quite as well.

So when I saw CVS had a Buy One, Get One 50% off sale, I did a little happy dance.

I had a $10/$40 purchase coupon for CVS, plus I went onto the manufacturer's website and found a $3 eye drop coupon.

I found some deals and coupons on other items too, so in the end, I got two bottles of gel eye drops, two bottles of eye allergy drops, one laundry detergent, one hand soap, and one tube of toothpaste all for $34.50, which is less than what two bottles of Sonia's eye drops cost normally.

Your turn! Have at it in the comments.

  1. I wear contact lenses too, and it's just so expensive! I wore glasses until I was 22 and noticed that my eye shape was changing because of the glasses. @_@ I made the expensive decision to switch to contact lenses then.

You have such great skills. They definitely help with frugality!

      1. Jenny, I'm putting in my two cents worth.
My eye doctor said that my near-sightedness was pulling my eyes into a different shape, and that glasses couldn't correct that. He said in a few years I would be legally blind, which means 20/200 even with correction. He recommended contacts (hard contacts) to keep my eyes from changing any further. I was a teen at the time, so I welcomed contacts, instead of the glasses which got thicker every six months.
Anyway, that's what I was told. I've been wearing contacts ever since.

        1. Exact same scenario with me. At 13 my eyes were so bad and the shape changing, that the eye doctor put me into gas permeable contacts to slow it down. It worked and I've also worn contacts ever since (I'm in my 50s now).

    1. I have a degenerative disorder with my corneas called keratoconus. Basically, my corneas are disintegrating, which results in weird bulges and I am legally blind without contacts due to the blurriness. My vision under my corneas is healthy and fine. I wear VERY expensive hard contacts encased in soft contacts to help hold my corneas together and slow the warping. I have to use very specific cleaning solutions and a protein remover, plus the $1600+ I spend on 2 sets of contacts per year, minimum. Usually it is more like 3 sets. They are supposed to last 6 months but they either crack or become unbearably blurry before then.

The tax cut thing is thrilling to me partly because I can stop saving all of these piles of drugstore receipts, etc. and just take the doubled standard min. deduction and the doubled child tax credit. This will save me hours of incredibly irritating work every year. My medical deduction stack this year is 6 inches tall. Fun times.

  2. 1. My work hosted a 40% off evening for our college students at JCPenney. This was to assist them with buying professional clothing. I went prepared NOT to buy anything, but I did find some Christmas jammies on clearance & two really nice work shirts for my husband. I will put them all away until next Christmas. I was tempted by the sirens of a clearance set of earrings. My eagle eye caught that they did not ring up correctly, so when the cashier did add the additional % off, they came down to only $4!

    2. Because I live in the town where I work and we were providing a shuttle to the mall for the above event. I was able to save gas and ride the shuttle. It's very odd riding a school bus with a bunch of college students!

    3. We treated our kids to a movie "Peter Rabbit" at the local cheap theater. It's a beautiful old theater that has been remodeled and the price per ticket is only $3! We even splurged for the $1.50 popcorn!

    4. Our entire family had dentist appointments on Wednesday evening and the 6pm start time did not give us much time for dinner. Though we did discuss eating out, we fed the kids at home (hubby and I were not hungry yet) and were there on time. (I must confess that we ate ice cream when we got home because the kids did amazing)

    5. I am not the cook of the family, so yesterday hubby defrosted a clearance chicken roaster and made dinner and two additional casseroles for the week.

  3. Us being open about our frugality has scored us food and furniture from moving friends! Hurray for embracing the desire to reuse and telling people about it!

  4. 1. I have started buying 12 oz bottles of Coke for our Son-in-law, and a commentator on the NCA blog mentioned using Coke rewards. I was able to get a free (I will have to pay postage) Shutterfly book with 5 caps. Love the sharing and learning on these blogs.
    2. I shared your post about DIY taxes with a commenter on the NCA blog. She mentioned not being able to find a reasonable tax professional to help her, and was thankful for your post!
    3. I have an accounting degree, which has helped me to prepare our taxes and my children's for over 30 years.
    4. Eat-down-the freezer continues. I generally buy loss leaders and plan my meals around the sale-priced meats, and in the process I keep a fairly full freezer. I wanted to lower the grocery bill and inventory.
    5. The heat is below my comfort level, but we are wearing layers and staying busy during this cold snap.

  5. 1. Made a huge pot of shredded turkey stew with turkey thighs we got on sale.
    2. Froze the veggie scraps from said stew for making stock at a later date.
    3. Repaired some pants that had small holes near a seam.
    4. Had coffee and teatime at home this weekend instead of going out for it.
    5. Discussed with hubby what other toiletries we actually end up using vs. what we think we need and eliminated a few more items from our regular shopping list.

  6. 1. I had that same CVS coupon deal plus a buy one get one 50% off deal, $3 off our type of allergy medication & $3 extra bucks for a score of $85 worth for only $48. I'm quite happy with that.
    2. I also made pear muffins for the first time as we don't like the brand of canned pears I purchased and do like to eat muffins.
    3. We found out we have over payed quite a bit on 2017 taxes for federal and the 2 states we lived in last year. We will apply the over payments for Federal and current state to required estimated taxes for 2018 and get a refund from our former state. We are living on retirement income this year and chose not to have taxes withheld so have to make estimated payments.
    4. My older son is getting married in the fall and I have ordered two quite reasonably priced dresses that might work for the wedding and the party the night before. Way below what I anticipated spending so fingers crossed.
    5. We decided to both go to visit our son and his family so DH can help with home improvement projects which means we will drive rather than DH flying. Costs quite a bit less as we pack lunch and snacks as the dog goes with us so we eat at rest stops.

  7. Zippers are my nemesis. I will do almost anything to avoid working with them, but I have forced myself to repair a few.
    1. I'm going on a mission trip again this year (not frugal, but it's where we want to spend money) and I found two nice lightweight pairs of cargo pants at Goodwill to take, only the Columbia pair was a little too long. A few minutes with needle and thread, and they are good to go.
    2. It was cloudy and damp all weekend, so I hung all but two loads of laundry inside, on my big drying rack and on hangers on the shower rod in our guest bathroom. The less I use the dryer, the better my electric bill.
    3. I still haven't re-introduced tomatoes on my elimination diet, and I really wanted some ketchup. I remembered that ketchup can be made of a variety of fruits, so I dug some persimmon puree out of the freezer, and made AIP compliant ketchup. Bonus -- it tastes really good.
    4. I completed an audit with my electric company. They are now supposed to send me an energy saving information kit and some LED bulbs, for free.
    5. We took our dog to the bi-monthly low-cost vet clinic and had his nails trimmed for $5. I have tried to trim his nails myself, and it's been a failure each time. The normal charge for nail trimming is $15, and I was going to the store right across the street from the clinic, anyway. My husband came along to babysit the dog while I was in the store. The money raised from the clinics goes to support improvements at our animal shelter, and the animal shelter really has improved. They are aiming for complete no-kill status, so I'm happy to support them.

Kristen, that was quite a deal on number 6 -- no wonder you had to sneak that one in.

  8. 1. Stayed in this weekend and didn't make any unnecessary purchases. I did not eat out, other than on Sunday morning when I purchased breakfast burritos to support a ministry at our church. I made all coffee drinks at home.
    2. Decluttered/minimized things belonging to myself and my toddler (did NOT touch hubby's things, because I know what's good for me and my marriage ;))
    3. Cleaned the toddler's shoes (why, oh why did I buy him CANVAS shoes?!). They're not perfect, but they'll get us through until sandal weather...I also trimmed some fly-away threads from a pair of my sandals so they are ready for summer use.
    4. Ate leftovers, "fixed" some meat made with funky salsa by rinsing it in water and re-seasoning it (it's not super delicious but it's edible-I'm doing so good with food waste, I couldn't bear to throw it away).
    5. Made pear crisp using a 1$ bag of pears and some ingredients I had in my cupboards. Also purchased a $1 bag of yellow and orange peppers for low-carb nachos.

  9. My kids are grown now, but when they were young I had to sew their waistbands up too! I used to keep a roll of elastic and would just sew a small 2 inch piece or so right to the inside of their waistband (stretched it while sewing and then it would cinch up)...when they would grow, I would rip it out.
I did not have a frugal week here. We are planning a trip to Ireland that requires new hiking boots that are waterproof and waterproof raincoats for us both. I have searched for months for raincoats at thrift stores, but no luck. Good shoes are expensive, but when you are on your feet for a week straight....I feel like shoes are one thing I'm ok with spending money on. Oh well, at least these purchases should last for years to come.

    1. While still not cheap, Sierra Trading Post (related to TJ Maxx) sells good quality hiking equipment at better prices. Good luck on your trip planning.

    2. I think good shoes are frugal, they always last years longer, you will walk lots & that will be free & if you had sore feet & blisters you would end out spending time & money tending wounds & feeling miserable spoiling part of your holiday. You will probably enjoy walking so much you will do more of it at home & get years of wear out of them. I will buy op-shop clothes, & look for bargains but I don't scrimp on footwear anymore as I have trouble finding shoes to fit me well anyway. The cheap shoes I bought on occasion I never wore because they really were uncomfortable so were all a waste of money. & good shoes prevent a lot of foot/knee/back problems which can cost a lot of money. Besides you did look for a cheaper option; it's not available so your buying what you need.

  10. 1. Got our "Friday freebie" items from the grocery store this weekend. Saved the two candy bars as a thank-you gift for the cat sitters during our upcoming trip.
    2. Used a coupon at the grocery store to buy some snacks in resealable bags for the plane ride - much cheaper than airport food, and they'll last for both plane rides.
    3. Bought lasagna ingredients to use up the big bag of spinach in the fridge. We made a full pan for the two of us, so plenty of leftovers to get us through the week.
    4. Shopped around for some luggage organizers and managed to get 6 for $30 rather than 3 for $45, just by visiting another store.
    5. While out shopping, didn't buy anything that we didn't need. Used the time to walk inside where it's warm, and enjoy the time together.

  11. 1. I had to pick up flowers at a wholesaler for an event at church so scheduled a much needed haircut, ate my free bowl of soup at Chick-fil-a and picked up my free coffee at Panera.
    2. While in town, I stopped at my favorite thrift shop and got some useful items. A glass carafe with a lid to keep water in fridge and a small red metal toolbox to store craft supplies. I told my husband he could keep the sockets. Both were .29.
    3. I stopped at Kroger after church for groceries. I got bags of limes, apples, oranges, ginger and potatoes for 1.00 each. English roasts were buy one, get one free so I got two that weighed the same to maximize that. I also found a 12 oz. bag of salad shrimp marked 2.00. They're wee but will work in fettuccine alfredo.
    4. My husband took tomorrow off so we could go see a free theatre performance where my daughter works. We'll combine it with a take out lunch so we can finally open Christmas gifts together. She and her husband were in Europe over Christmas and there is real Belgium chocolate waiting for me!
    5. Enjoying the best entertainment of all with Olympic coverage made even better by looking for our youngest's red hat among the crowd. So excited for her to have this once in a lifetime opportunity!

  12. 1--made my 12 year old grandson a pair of pajama pants out of a 25¢ piece of material from a yard sale. He has his order in for a top and bottom next.
2--buying things for my Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes already. I use a sight that has $1 items and eBay.
3--made a crock pot of veggy beef stew and ate several times from it.
4--resisted buying some new patterns after finding some in my stash that I can adapt to the same style.
5--used a $5 credit that I had on Amazon for choosing no rush shipping for a new charger for my phone.

  13. Lots of clothes here! We used to our leftovers from the Superbowl party, and got a bunch of clearance item that we needed anyway over the weekend.

  14. 1. We enjoyed a local museum for free during a special event.

    2. While at the museum, we signed up for a library card in the large city we live near, to utilize the greater collection of e-books for our Kindle. We won't even need to step foot inside the library!

    3. We took the survey on the back of a take-out receipt and received free food.

    4. We bumped our heat down and have been rocking socks and sweaters at home.

    5. We made homemade hot chocolate after the frugal failure of purchasing a very bland tasting hot chocolate at a trendy coffee truck.

We received the Threshold kitchen towels almost 10 years ago and they are still in exceptional condition. We have 4 that we rotate regularly, we don't use paper towels in the kitchen, so these really see a lot of use (and we tumble dry) . I'm so glad they have held up so well!

  15. 1 - Went over 14 cents on my $75 grocery budget last week, but I had put aside some change (I round up to nearest $1 when I spend from envelopes), so it was all good.
2 - Ran out of bread last night, but will NOT go to the grocery store until tomorrow. Tonight's supper will be chef's salad with the rest of a bag of tortilla chips, so we won't need bread.
3 - Repaired bedroom window shade that I had tugged too hard on and tore a hole. Easy fix - just cut off the place where the hole was, hemmed it and put the wooden slat right back in.
4 - Hubby and I turned our mattress for the next three months. So glad we have the kind of mattress that can be turned instead of the newer kind that can't.
5 - Repaired our mattress cover with a piece of a tattered sheet I had been saving. Will just put the repaired side of the cover next to the mattress so we won't feel even the slightest bump. I've repaired this same mattress cover once before. I paid a fair amount of money for it, so the elastic is still strong. Good value for the money.

Love reading about the frugal things you do as well as the comments from others who list the frugal things they've done.

  16. 1. I made my granddaughter’s poodle skirt for her father-daughter sock hop last weekend. I already had most of the material and notions on hand.
    2. One of our grandson’s turned 3 today. His party was Saturday. For his gift, I bought him a couple pairs of pajamas, which he needed. I found 2 pairs his size on clearance racks and only spent $8.
    3. In 2 weeks we have another grandson turning 2. I have started making him a diaper bag that matches the blanket I made him for Christmas. (mom’s request). I will be using the left over material so the cost is $0.
    4. We haven’t eaten out in several weeks.
    5. The 10 year old granddaughter will be making her Valentine box this afternoon with supplies already on hand. Cost $0

  17. WOW on the CVS deal. I have also noticed that towels seem to be sewed rather sloppily. I have a couple of those to do, too. OK, my frugal stuff:
Hemmed a couple pr of dress pants for my son's gf that she got on a really good deal at JCP after Christmas - very high quality brands. I think I did a pretty dent job on them!
Bought extra meat to make a couple of freezer meals for those days when I don't have it together - into the crockpot it will go!
Paid a dental bill for said son so he wouldn't incur a late fee, and used my HSA. He will pay back when times are not so hard.
I've been thinking lately that I will stop clipping coupons and just buy store brand stuff - except at Walgreen's which has awesome sales and such.

  18. We had the flu at my house for over a week so here's the best I can think of.

    1. This is going to sound really petty but the Walmart brand powdered dishwasher detergent was nowhere to be found on the shelves at Walmart for weeks. Well it came back in new packaging being labeled "New and Improved" with new but not so improved pricing. Since I'm not brand loyal I now buy Target brand and while it's more expensive than the old stuff, it's cheaper than the new stuff.

    2. Cooked a turkey breast in my dutch oven using a Cooks Country recipe. I can vouch for it being fantastic! We ate off of this for several meals and almost nothing got wasted.

    3. My wife's car had a bad squealing noise so we took it in to her trusted mechanic and come to find out it was just a rock that got lodged in it. It's very frugal to have a mechanic you can trust because less honest mechanics would've upsold us on some other parts and we would've been none the wiser.

    4. Planning on making bread tonight to restock my freezer. My flour stocks are getting low so I need to make another trip up to King Arthur Flour once spring gets here.

    5. I don't know how much of a win this is vs being lucky but here goes. A disease I have been dealing with since I was three has recently gotten worse. It's not fatal but there's also no cure. So since it got out of control a bit my doctor put me on a medicine to help control it. Well, a 90 day supply of the name brand of medication will run me $1,000! Generics without insurance is $41. Thankfully my insurance paid the $41 even though I expected to pay for it out of my HSA. Not to get preachy and political but when we have these debates about paying for healthcare, I think there should be a look at how there can be a $959 difference between two identical products!

    1. ..yeah 'New & Improved'; three words that will always make me sigh, it usually means 'we found a cheaper way to make this & it isn't as good as the old version'

  19. Used CVS coupon and Buck to get a free curling iron. Waiting to buy a fresh mascara. Shopped online for a good price on a mattress we had tried out at a local store, was on a good sale.

  20. Woah, great job with the CVS couponing! I love when the stars align and that happens. 🙂

    Hmm, this week:

    1. We priced out some grocery items and realized they were much, much cheaper at Costco. We're going on a shopping trip tonight to stock up. I'll also snag a cheap cup of ice cream to split with hubs. 😉

    2. I'm making all Valentine's gifts for hubby from stuff around the house. I made him homemade tea tree bath bombs, raspberry cream cheese macarons, and an "I love you" paper chain to hang from the ceiling.

    3. Our meals were wonky today, but I didn't let that deter me. I whipped up an impromptu lunch instead of picking up takeout.

    4. I'm gifting Valentine's goodies to people. Instead of snagging a storebought red velvet cake, I made my own, complete with homemade cream cheese frosting.

    5. Over the weekend I used my homemade blackberry wine to make wine ice cream. It was sooo tasty!

  21. 1. I have a sewing one too, but it wasn't me sewing. My daughter's school uniform pants zipper broke and her uniform dress was starting to get a hole in the seam(they alter what days they wear them). So I took them to the tailor across the street and for 300CFA (less than a buck) he replaced the zipper and fixed the hole.
    2. For our weekly family fun activity we did painting. We squeezed the paint onto pizza boxes and then could mix the colors on the boxes. All of the paper we used to paint on was scrap paper. We used various things from around the house as "stamps" to paint with like, tp tubes, old toothbrush, lids, ect...
3.We picked up the kids from school, went to the store and the bank, combining errands.
    4. Used grey water to water plants.
    5. Bought another sack of rice, our economical staple.

  22. 1.) Today I attended a workshop that had lunch included, so I didn't need to pack my own today!

2.) After failing somewhat miserably at getting dinner on the table with my semester teaching schedule, I meal-planned with my exhausted brain in mind. We're eating a lot of sandwiches and burgers, but we're not eating out.

3.) I submitted a bunch of receipts for reimbursement. It's always nice to get the money back.

4.) I skipped buying a donut and a soda on Saturday while grocery shopping.

5.) We are having a Galentine's Day celebration for our church women's group. Instead of paying out the wazoo for premade garlands, I ordered pompoms, precut felt circles, and string on Amazon and made my own. They're cuter, too boot.

  23. I love reading this site; so good to celebrate the skill it takes to run households well & acknowledge some of the struggles.
    Remembered the other day some of the things I do all the time that I started ages ago to be frugal but now just feel routine;
    1. - I heard a plumber say once how much damage he sees in washing machines by the use of too much washing powder that causes build-up & how companies want us to use more than we need. I also heard others say they use heaps less than the packet says. I tried it out a long time ago use about 1/2 the measure suggested & it works fine.
    2. - I buy good quality sliced bread from the baker & freeze it the day it's made so it never goes stale. It defrosts really well just sitting on a plate or in the microwave if I'm in a hurry
    3. - After washing I hang good tops/tshirts on hangers from a triangle frame that hooks over a door, they dry within a day, mostly no ironing required or greatly reduced & already on hangers for the wardrobe. I find they last longer than if dried in the dryer & the dark t-shirts don't fade in the sun.
    4. - I hang towels out on the line even if I think they won't fully dry to reduce the time needed in the dryer
    5. - We buy good quality mostly ready grated parmesan from a deli & freeze it in a jar, it readily spoons out to sprinkle or measure out for a recipe & never goes bad before we've finished it.

  24. You have often commented on your mending. That is a good habit of yours, particular when you catch it early on.

    1. I returned some unused items.
    2. I ordered some things with Amazon Prime and chose the slower shipping option so I got a $5 credit coming to us in a future purchase.
    3. I have been more intentional about not wasting food. We were slow in using up a loaf of bread, so I made a egg casserole with it. Also, just being more aware of the leftover containers in the fridge.
    4. I am getting ready for a trip and trying to use what I have. Taking a good look at my clothes and not buying anything new. I was going to buy some single use almond packets to have on hand, but I made my own little trail mix with what I had.
    5. Instead of meeting a friend for coffee, we met at my home and I served her tea here.

    1. Yes! Mending is such a great way to save money with your sewing skills. Making clothes from scratch is often not that frugal, but mending is almost always frugal.

  25. This is not really about a specific savings, but I spent a couple of hours this weekend re-examining my priorities and revamping my my budget to reflect what is happening in my life right now. I find that although I make small changes to the budget all the time, it needs a major overhaul every year or two as my needs and income shift. For a natural spender like me, it's a lot easier to be frugal when I keep the WHY in mind.

I saved $1 when I made sure to use the peel-off coupon on a grocery item this week. I often forget about those coupons (not much of a coupon user so I don't remember) and the clerks rarely notice them unless I point them out or peel them off.

I have decided to use my credit card points to offset the cost of a more-extravagant-than-usual birthday gift for my brother this year. So far I have about half the cost covered by points.

I am giving a gift of Bath and Body Works products to a friend for her birthday this week. I bought three of her favorite body products during the holidays when they were on sale for $5 each.

I am making a big batch of browned butter and sea salt rice krispy treats to take to the office for Valentine's day. I bought the store brand of marshmallows and the name brand so I can taste-test the difference. The store brand was half the cost of the name brand so it will save me money in the future if they are just as good!

  26. Happy almost Valentine's Day!

    1) On that note, we've been making lots of homemade cards for my daughter's class (recycling cute images from previous birthday cards, magazines, etc.).

    2) I'm so thankful for our freezer stash/pantry stash. Meals have been a little random or routine, but praise God we are fed.

    3) I've been making after school snacks from scratch all week--muffins, oatmeal energy balls, trail mix. Using up some oldish apples.

    4) Every offer to borrow homeschooling curriculum next year I say yes to, even if I'm not 100% sure on that resource. Seeing God provide friendship through that humility too.

    5) I've been working on self-control on my chocolate stash. I can make a mini chocolate chips bag last 1-2 weeks now:)

    1. Pantry/freezer stash is such a blessing when you're short on time or money! Snacks from scratch are the best! I don't have kids yet, but some of my fondest memories are coming home from school to fresh baked goodies 🙂 Glad to see I'm not the only one who eats chocolate chips as a snack. I need to time how long it takes... perhaps write on the bag when I open it? Currently working on 60% dark choc chips I stocked up on at Aldi during the holidays. We've been eating healthier and tracking calories, so hopefully the chocolate chip consumption rate isn't alarmingly fast!

  27. The only frugal thing that I have, is really not frugal. DH had a rx to be picked up, cashier rang it up and then it came out as n/c. We use a grocery store pharmacy in GA, when I got home I took out the sheet that tells about the drug, and there was a $2 off coupon. I was really excited nad wanted to tell someone. Have a blessed week.
