Central California Artist Jana (who blogs at Cabin Art) wrote to me to suggest that it would be fun to have a roundup of all the blogs written by Frugal Girl readers.
She mentioned the old-school blogrolls that we all used to have in our sidebars, and now sidebars are barely even a thing anymore (which is because people use smartphones to read blogs, and sidebars aren't viewable on a phone!) Blogging sure has changed a lot in the last eighteen years.
Interestingly, for the majority of my blogging career, people have been saying, "Blogging is dying!", but obviously, that is not true. At least not for every blog. And I know there are bloggers among us here, still chugging along.
Anyway! I am familiar with the blogs written by some of you, but definitely not all, and I don't want to make an incomplete list.
Two Requests
If you write online somewhere about anything (doesn't need to be frugality) and you are comfortable sharing (no pressure!), drop your link in the comments so other Frugal Girl readers can find you.

I use WordPress.org. WordPress.com might be simpler, but it doesn’t allow for a shopping cart, which means it isn’t good for a business.

How fun! My husband works for a company based in Espoo, and we spent a month living in Jätkäsaari.
Very cool! I love how adventurous and active you were during your time there. We stayed in the neighborhood of Kallio (old working class neighborhood, a bit similar to hip Vesterbro in Copenhagen), and if you do visit again I would recommend Oishi 18 in Kallio as you like sushi 🙂
Some family friendly places to stay at would be Arabianranta (access to beautiful nature), Kalasatama (similar to Jätkäsaari, close to the Mustikkamaa island and the zoo), and Lauttasaari (a cute island suburb).
As you put so well, Helsinki doesn't have the big attractions of many other European cities, but what I love there is the proximity to nature everywhere and safety for kids to explore on their own. Our favorite thing to do is to bike around the city and explore the different cafes, take a boat to the many islands, stop at a beach for a swim, and of course, many museums and as many saunas as possible.
My husband travels to Canada for work and one summer we took a camping/city trip to Toronto, Montreal and Quebec City. I will take some time to look at tips for a visit to maritime Canada as well on your blog 🙂
I had really wanted to make it out to the Kallio Church, but never managed to do so (but could see it from Linnanmaki).
The Atlantic provinces in Canada are spectacular. I'm especially fond of Nova Scotia (admittedly a bit biased), but it is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen, the pace of life is wonderful, and if you're coming from outside of Canada, the exchange rate tends to be highly favourable, too.

Love homeschooling. I haven't yet written about that on my blog much, but I've been homeschooling for a few years now. We started right before COVID hit.
I read several blogs with sidebars on my smartphone. At the bottom of many blogs there is a choice that you click on for web version and voila other blog choices appear.
There are still some sites that do have sidebars on mobile. But in general, best practice now is to have a mobile version that skips basically everything except a title for the site and then then main content area. Otherwise, the main content area becomes rather small!
I write about a simple life, cooking, sourdough bread, minimalism, living with cancer, swimming, and some travel in Northern California in the Sierra foothills.

Wow, Tamara. You and I have much in common. I have been retired for 2 years. The first year I completed visiting all 7 continents. The next ( probably lifetime goal) is the 63 National Parks. The big question everyone asks is, of course, how are you going to tackle Alaska. I have Glacier Bay and Denali. This October I have Acadia and Shenedoah planned.
My husband is a farmer and as such often tied to the land. Many of my 40% of the Parks I am on my own which is fine. that may change as he rents out the land to farm.
Oh, you must have seen my Places I’ve Been page, Mary Ann! And yes, you are right that getting to all the Alaska NP’s will be a challenge. Some of course, are only accessible by private plane, which doesn’t thrill my turbulence-anxious self!
But oh the beauty within our national parks!

My blog is about earning a living making art in one of the least educated and poorest counties in the state, with lots of info about a place people love in Sequoia National Park, a monthly roundup of things I learned that month, and occasional bloviations about life (today’s post is about cars). I have tens of readers most of whom I know either in real life or have an email friendship with, and the commenting procedure is very annoying for people, and I don’t know how to fix it.

When I started it, I had three teenaged kids at home and an early-20s son in the Marine Corps. I now have three 30-somethings and a late-20-something who are all married or otherwise have significant others (and, phew, don't live with me anymore), plus 10 grandkids! So the kid-related things I write about have changed over time, but the rest of my interests--nature, homesteading, frugality, DIY, knitting, sewing/quilting, reading, horses (horses have been a thing in my life for 42 years)--are still constants.

What a wonderful idea! Blogging is 100% not dead. My RSS reader is my favorite digital destination and I currently have 123 active blogs on there. (I looked through to see if I have any suggestions, but most of the ones I think would be of interest are already well-known to this audience.) Not to mention that there are at least that many older ones that I have the ambition someday to go back and look at the archives. I think cooking and recipe blogs have survived the best, perhaps because none of the other social media work as well for something that you really need a written version of.
I do have a suggestion, though--could we do a similar topic for podcasts? I don't know of that many specifically about frugality, but they are pretty frugal entertainment and I can think of several I think this group would like.

Hello! I write a substack (coming back out of dormancy in September) about my experience raising kids adopted from foster care. I write about anything related to adoption which means a lot of delving blog) into research around trauma (if you know the word "epigenetics", you might like my writing) and a lot of first-person reflections and a lot of writing about grief (mine, my kids', their birth parents').
