A Kitchen Sink Update with Moen + a Giveaway!

When we moved into this house 10 years ago, it was in pretty dreadful shape. SO many things needed to be fixed just to make it livable.
Actually, want to see what the kitchen used to look like? I don't think I've ever shown you before!

(You might not be ready for this...)
FG kitchen before

It had a serious case of Too Much Going On.

Between the flooring, the striped wall paper and the rooster border, just standing in there could give you a headache. frugal girl kitchen before

We un-decorated the kitchen (bye-bye, wallpaper!), changed the cabinet hardware, put up new trim, replaced the slider, and traded linoleum for wood flooring.

Then two years ago, I painted the kitchen cabinets, which helped a lot.

So, here's what the kitchen looks like now.

  frugal girl kitchen after

We're eventually going to buy some remnant granite to replace the counters, but for now, all of the most distressing elements of the kitchen have been fixed. 😉

If I recall correctly, something was wrong with the faucet that came with the house, and we replaced it with a cheap builder's grade faucet.

Because when everything needs to be replaced, sometimes you end up scrimping on a few things. old faucet

That was a decade ago, and this faucet has been needing to go for a while now.

How about a list of its faults?

It takes a serious application of brute force to move the spout.

Something is wonky with the handle (sometimes it gets stuck in the "on" position.)

The sprayer drips all the time even when you're not using it. old sprayer

Then a month or two ago, the aerator broke, and the only replacement we could find didn't quite fit properly.

replacement aerator

Also, this isn't the faucet's fault, but I got paint on it when I painted my cabinets (lo, these two years ago!) and I never did manage to get it off.

Ahem.

paint on faucet

We'd have replaced the faucet sooner, but since we are eventually going to replace our countertops we thought we'd just wait and get a new faucet then.

However, when BlogHer emailed to say that Moen was looking for bloggers to review a faucet line, I decided it would be no problem to replace the faucet BEFORE the counters. 😉

I thought I'd get a faucet somewhat similar to what I had before, but oh my goodness you guys, I got to choose from Moen's Reflex line!

(Reflex faucets all have pull-down spray nozzles which automatically retract, and they are SO much nicer than what I had before.)

I browsed through the choices and ended up with the Hensley faucet, which seemed like a good not-too-modern, not-too-traditional look for the kitchen.

Reflex Faucet Installation

When we chose the faucet, we'd watched Moen's installation video, and were pleased to see that this seemed like a pretty simple project.

So, one night, I decided I could to tackle it on my own.

(It seemed like a 15 minute project, so hey, why not??)

Problem is, I hadn't counted on how hard it would be to take out the old faucet.

Over ten years, the bits of moisture under there had sealed the nut on quite solidly, and good heavens, it's very hard to get any tools around that under-sink nut because of all the pipes in the way.

removing old moen faucet

I tried various wrenches, sprayed the nut with Liquid Wrench, let it sit, tried again (and again and again) and it wouldn't budge.

I eventually ran out to the closest hardware store and bought a basin wrench, which you can see under the sink above. It has a 90-degree angle, which makes it much easier to work with under a sink.

Even so, you need room to get the basin wrench around the nut.

Rats.

Since no one was going to want this faucet anyway, I bent the copper hot and cold water pipes*, broke them off, and finally was able to get the wrench around the nut.

*NOT the water pipes that belong to the house... just the two coming out of the faucet. removing old faucet

I'm fairly completely sure that's not how professional plumbers deal with this issue.

When the nut finally budged, I breathed a huge sigh of relief because I was thisclose to giving up.

(Although, since I'd broken the copper pipes off the faucet, I was sort of past the point of no return. Ha.) old rusted faucet

I have to say, God bless plumbers because I really cannot imagine spending my days on my back underneath sinks. I'm not even a very big person, and it was difficult to position myself under there.

Let's just say that should I ever need a new career, plumbing is not gonna be on my short list.

Once I got the old faucet out, this project was a breeze, even for a plumbing newbie like me. In fact, all you have to do is screw a few things on, tighten them with a wrench, and snap a hose connection into place. It was crazy quick and easy.

So, what do I think of this faucet?

The Height

Well, when I first installed the faucet, I was a little nervous about how tall it was, especially because I was used to my old, low faucet. moen reflex hensley faucet review

HOWEVER.

Because I still have my old 3-hole sink, I had to use the deck plate under the faucet, which means the faucet sits higher than it will once we get new counters and an under-mounted sink (no deck plate will be necessary then.)

I've totally gotten used to the height since then, though, and I am completely and utterly in love. I've never lived in a home with a tall faucet and I had no idea what I was missing.

With the faucet up and out of the way, the sink feels so much bigger, and washing things like large bowls and cookie sheets is a breeze. (I used to have to carefully maneuver them around the faucet.)

Plus, filling up pots is far easier.

I'm not sure I will ever go back to a low faucet again. I'm spoiled for life.

The Sprayer

This faucet is a faucet/sprayer in one. When you turn the water on, it functions just like a regular faucet: moen reflex hensley

But if you want to switch to a spray, you just push a little button on the back and you've got spray. moen hensley reflex

It's super easy to pull the spray nozzle down to spray wherever you want in the sink. hensley spray nozzle

Since the button is on the back of the nozzle, it's not visible (unless you're turning it over for a photo. ;)) hensley spray nozzle

The faucet has great pressure (the flow isn't too hard or too gentle) and the spray wand is so so so so much better than the old kind I had.

The brilliant thing about a pull-down sprayer is that the spray is automatically pointed down, whereas the type I used to have was poised to spray out into the room until you made it point into the sink.

Plus, my old sprayer sprayed so hard, water splashed out of the sink and onto the counters, but this sprayer has a gentle, even flow. When you're done using the sprayer, you can just let go and it gently retracts to its starting position.

The Soap Dispenser

I was a little nervous about ordering a faucet with a soap dispenser because I was concerned about it being a pain to refill.

(I imagined having to unscrew the dispenser from underneath the sink.)

But since I already had that hole in my sink (from the old sprayer), I decided I'd at least give the soap dispenser a try and I'm glad I did. It's super easy to refill because you don't have to unscrew anything from under the sink!

how to refill moen soap dispenser

The top of the dispenser lifts off and you can pour soap right in, with no under-the-sink shenanigans required. moen soap dispenser

I am not a fan of under-the-sink shenanigans. So, here's my sink before: old faucet

And here's my sink now.

moen reflex faucet install

Ahhhh.

moen reflex faucet

So much better.

Did you notice that since the sprayer is combined with the faucet and the soap dispenser sits where the sprayer used to be, I have one less thing on the back of my sink?

  moen reflex soap dispenser

That's makin' me happy. Yay!

Just so you know, the Moen Reflex faucets do come in a pull-out option that's not as tall as the pull-down models. So, if you have less clearance above your sink than I do, you can still have a Reflex faucet.

Also, while some of the Reflex faucets are in the $600 price range, the one I chose sells for around $250. Given how much better it is than our old $100 faucet, I think it's totally worth the price.

(By the way, the prices on Moen's website are MSRPs, so they're a lot higher than the prices you'd actually pay at a retail store.   The Moen site lists $550 for mine, but it retails for about half that.)

The Giveaway

I've got a $100 Visa gift card to give away to one of you, compliments of Moen. If you need a faucet, this could provide a hefty discount for you.

Or if you don't need a faucet then hey, $100 could buy a lot of other fun things!

To enter for a chance to win, take a peek at the Moen Reflex faucet line and leave a comment telling me which is your favorite.

(You can sort the faucets by style, price, and whether they're pullout or pulldown, just to make your choosing process easier.)

    1. I found this article very helpful because I just so happen to be hunting for a faucet. We are installing countertops and new sink next week but I am just stumped on faucet ideas. Until I came across your review. You especially answered my question about a side sprayer...something I am opting out of doing now. The Reflex looks sheek as well as functional. Thank you!

  1. We are saving up for a new kitchen faucet as ours is a low one with a small sink. This gift card would definitely help in the efforts! Glad for you and your new faucet!

  2. I like the Brantford. I had a high faucet before we moved, and now I have a low one. I miss all that extra room for cleaning big stuff!

  3. I love the Annabelle! I've been wanting a high faucet for so long but keep pushing it down the list of "upgrades."

  4. The Arbor looks gorgeous. I'm so partial to the rubbed bronze finish, but my kitchen has stainless appliances so I'd have to go with that!

  5. I like the Arbor in bronze, but I wouldn't put that in my kitchen because I have a black sink that I love! I must say that I didn't realize how expensive faucets are! We remodeled our kitchen 9 years ago and my dad bought our faucet for us.

  6. We just did a floor to ceiling kitchen reno and purchased the Benton Reflex faucet. I love it soooo much! Moen knows how to do faucets and they have life time guarantees. Your kitchen didn't look too bad. But you certainly updated it nicely. (Mine was the original 1975 linoleum and cabinets which fell apart when I took them off the wall) Don't be hard about destroying the old faucet to remove it. Even with the proper tools a plumber would have done the same thing. Actually they probably would recognize the condition and go straight to cutting it off the sink instead of trying to undo the nuts. Well done Kristen.

    1. Ooh, good point. A proper plumber would probably have just gone to demo mode a lot earlier!

  7. I think I have the same faucet as your old one. My husband and I are looking at old houses that we could fix up because he just got a job that is 45-50 from our house, in a different state, which makes the taxes wonky. We want to find a house with "good bones" and fix it up. So I am sure this review will come in handy in a few months when we find that house and start work on it.
I love your review an how the new faucet looks. I also noticed the one fewer bottle on the sink before you mentioned it. I love it.

  8. I like the Align chrome one-handle high arc pulldown kitchen faucet. I need the pulldown feature.

  9. I love the Aberdeen Reflex faucet the best! It is so gorgeous, and I would love to have one of these faucets in my house!

  10. We've got an old school front facing sprayer too. The worst! I'd love to be able to replace it.

    1. Yeah-I really didn't realize how bad the front-facing sprayer design was until I tried this! The pull-down is sooo much better.

  11. We had that type of faucet style at our old house. I loved it!

I like a lot of the faucets shown in the line, but if I had to pick a favorite it would probably be the Indi.

  12. Beautiful job! I've fixed all of my drippy faucets at one time or another and find that I don't have enough torque. I'll get a big guy to come over and unscrew stuff and then tell them, "Let me do the rest myself, please! They usually comply.

  13. I really like the one you have. We currently have a pull out one and I would love to have a taller one. Thanks for the great review.

  14. I really like the Lindley style. So cool that you got to get a new faucet. And you did a great job at replacing the old one! I may have given up 😉

  15. Wow- it's hard to choose a favorite. We have 5 kids and are so hard on faucents!
We've replaced several inexpensive ones already!

  16. Our new house came with the pull down type of faucet, very similar to yours and I love it!! I believe it falls under the Transitional types on their web site. I'd totally pick one of those again when we are ready for a new one!

  17. I like the Kiren ---- Having a high faucet is so nice. I don't think I could go back to a normal faucet ever again.

  18. We currently have a pull-out style, from the previous owners. It is the nicest one I've ever owned, but I'd prefer the pull down...like you said, easier to not spray the room that way! 🙂 I really like "Bayhill".

  19. Oh, too many to choose among. My initial favorite is the Lindley high arc pulldown, but I wouldn't guarantee I wouldn't change my mind ....

  20. I love the Arbor! Not sure what finish - remodel is yet to be done 🙂 But anything would be better than the builder grade 80's faucet we've got now!

  21. Ha! I spent a good portion of the day yesterday on the floor under the sink trying to get my faucet out so I could replace it with the brand new Moen faucet that I just bought! Anyhow, I got the Branbury, which isn't actually one of the Reflex line. It didn't look like there was a way to attache my Pur filter to the reflex faucets, and since our water tastes horrible unless it's filtered, that wasn't an option. I suppose I could have gotten a schmancy filter that attaches separately, but that seemed like too much work. However... given the fact that I spent several hours and couldn't budge the old faucet - the "too much work thing" is starting to feel like a moot point!

Well, anyhow, I'm off to go buy a basin wrench and some liquid wrench stuff, but I must admit, your experience is not exactly filling me with hope. Fingers crossed...

    1. The basin wrench really did help, once I broke off the copper pipes and managed to get the wrench around the nut.

And the liquid wrench probably did help too. It smells funky, though, I will warn you!

  22. I like the one you got. We have a similar one (also Moen!) and I love it. I'd love a Soap dispenser on my sink too - right now I keep a regular softsoap one on my windowsill.

  23. I love your reviews, they're always very informative and all the photos really are helpful.

The faucet looks great in your kitchen. Moreover Moen is a great quality brand and they stand behind their products. I love the sunken soap dispenser!

That being said, I personally can't imagine paying even "just" $250 for a faucet. Yikes!

Aside from the price, the one thing that would prevent me from getting this faucet is the "gentle stream" of the sprayer. I do want a sprayer with a hard spray to help clean those dishes with encrusted cheese or other food particles on them:)

So don't count me in the giveaway as I wouldn't be using the voucher. But thanks for the great review 🙂

    1. Hmm...well, I mean, the sprayer does have some power. It's just not as crazy as my other sprayer, which spattered water all over the place. That was just TOO much pressure!

    2. Nathalie,
I noticed the pricing on that too. Some of the new models for the faucets are close to $800.00! Even with a gift card (which is generous), that just seems so crazy to spend that kind of money on a faucet.

They are beautiful and look great in the pictures but I am not sure the price vs. asthetic is there for me either.

      1. Just FYI: Like I said in my post, the prices on Moen's site are MSRPs and are FAR higher than retail prices. For instance, my faucet is listed at $500 on Moen's site, but sells for $250 at Lowe's.

I gulped when I saw those prices too, but was relieved to see that they are not representative of the actual prices in stores.

    3. Oh, and Nathalie, the giveaway is for a real Visa gift card...not a Moen-specific gift card! So you can totally enter even if you don't need a faucet.

  24. Love the modern and sleek look of the Aberdeen faucet. Beautiful piece of "bling" for the kitchen!!!

  25. I knew immediately which one - the Bayhill! Thanks for a great giveaway. I'm with you - the tall faucet is awesome! It makes the kitchen looks so sleek (:

  26. I like the Woodmere in oil rubbed bronze! That totally fits the country style of my house. 🙂 And we actually really need a new faucet, too! Ours is garbage!

  27. Great review and we love Moen products. A pull down sprayer would be
so helpful. My current sprayer is crazy! I like the Annabelle or the Kipton
    models.

  28. My favorite is the arbor in spot resistant stainless steel. We just sold our home and our downsizing to a fixer upper. Some help with the purchase of a new faucet would be fabulous!

  29. I really love the Arbor style, it would look good in my kitchen 🙂 Btw, I really love reading your blog Kristen. You have amazing tips and your frugal ideas are inspirational.

  30. I love the Arbor faucet! Thank you for the wonderful giveaway.

  31. I like the Arbor faucet in chrome. Also, your kitchen looks lovely. Less decor in a kitchen has really grown on me over the years.

  32. I like the Arbor--but I'm particularly enjoying the finish options! A new faucet is the last minor change we need to make in our kitchen (otherwise we're talking new counters and painting cabinets) so this would be perfect!

  33. Thanks for the great review, Kristen! Our circa 1950 kitchen is in dire need of a remodel, and you are a trusted voice, so I appreciate your input. I like Annabelle.

  34. I know lots of people with faucets similar to your new one, and they're amazing! We're looking to buy a house this summer, and a faucet like your Hensley would make me very happy 🙂

  35. Love your new faucet, I would choose the Hensley as well. I worry that it will be very difficult to remove my old faucet also!

  36. My favorite is the Lindley faucet - Lindley mediterranean bronze one-handle high arc pulldown kitchen faucet

  37. I really like the Voss style and am in the process of buying my first home (a fixer upper) so I may actually be faucet shopping the end of this month too!

  38. I'm liking the Aberdeen chrome.

Kristen- I got such a kick out if this post. Your love for your new faucet is obvious! So happy for you!

  39. We just did new granite, under mount sink, and the Arbor faucet. Love it! We had a plumber install ours and thank goodness we did. He spent an hour under the sink just removing the old faucet and removing old pipes that didn't need to be there anymore (there were so many, we couldn't figure out what was going where).

  40. I really like the Kinzel style! Also, your kitchen looks great. We also do our house projects one small step at a time. For budget reasons, but I also like doing it that way! I feel like I appreciate each thing we do more than if we were able to just do it all at once.

  41. We are in the market for a new kitchen faucet. I really like the pull down Bayhill model. It would look lovely in our kitchen.

  42. I like the Kiren. It would look good in our kitchen and our kitchen faucet is getting to the point of needing replaced soon anyway.

  43. Thanks for the great information! I didn't know they made anything other than high arc. The low arc Kinzel would be a perfect fit!

  44. Hi there. I really like the Brookshire faucet in rubbed bronze. What a change in your kitchen! I just put in new counter tops, back-splash and sink. So hard to decide what I wanted. I finally selected a white granite deep sink and a penny tile black-splash.

  45. I like the Arbor. It's smooth and sleek design look nice and easier to keep clean with fewer seams and raised edges that could hold drips and splashes.

  46. I really like the Aberdeen. Our plumber says Moen is the best with their warranties. Our fixtures are old and need replacing, but I would not be as brave as you; I'd use a plumber. You kitchen looks great, Kristen.

  47. Love the new faucet! I also have a tall faucet and I love it.....
cant wait to see the new counter top!
I like alot of them.... Ascent is pretty cool!

  48. I like the Arbor style. A higher faucet would be awesome since I have a wee one who bathes in our sink and is always trying to turn the water on or grab the faucet itself!

  49. I think I am in love with the Arbor faucet in spot resistant stainless. Kudos to you, Kristen for changing out the faucet yourself.

  50. Ooooo. I think the Kipton would look nice with my white porcelain over cast iron sink. Though the motion sense ones are tempting for 'chickeny' hands, I could see my kids wasting water just because they want to use their 'magic powers' to turn the water on with a wave of their hands. 🙂

  51. Ooh, I really like the fina faucet. Everything on their website is beautiful, though. Thanks for sharing this brand with us!

  52. I've been researching faucets as we are currently building a house, so I was glad to read your review. My favorite is the Walden.

  53. I like the Arbor in spot resistant stainless steel. I would love a new faucet. My sprayer has never worked.

  54. I'm in Canada so can't enter.

    BUT

I want to say how much I just love your "can-do" attitude for things people usually think you need whiskers for! 🙂 It is also a great example for your kids, the boys and the girls, to show that there is no fuss to bake or to change a faucet or etc. You just tackle a job that needs doing. I am a woman working in a traditionally male environment and I get so many different comments of my occupation, good, bad and well, just plain ugly. And while I think that doing the kind of work that is more traditionally male is way to open up spaces in women and men's heads about women's roles and jobs, the regularly small stuff is also huge in changing our (women's and men's) perceptions, like dads taking care of small kids, or moms doing home repairs or whatever. So yey Kristen!

    1. I agree...I think men and women should do what suits their strengths, even if it doesn't fit within traditional gender roles. Mr. FG legitimately likes shopping more than I do, so I sometimes just let him take care of that job! And I did the faucet, even though typically men do more of that kind of thing.

(Actually, now that I think about it, when I put the faucet in, I think he had taken one of the girls out to shop for something! Ha.)

  55. Oooh, the Bayhill would look fantastic in the kitchen I am dreaming about and hope to start in the next year or 2 🙂 Thanks for the giveaway!

  56. The STo looks pretty nice. Though my ideal faucet would be the articulated model in one of their other lines.

  57. I like the Notch, and actually we are having to replace our kitchen faucet very soon so your information comes at a very good time.

  58. What a huge difference!
I spent almost an hour browsing different faucets on Moen website, and have to say: I'd pick the same faucet as you did! 😀

  59. I really like the Arbor in the oil rubbed bronze with the spot resist finish. Wow - who knew there were so many faucets to choose from! Thanks!

  60. I'm already spoiled with a high faucet, so I'd go for the motion-activated pull-down sprayer type. I like the Arbor in the spot resist stainless option. Looks like heaven. 🙂

  61. My favorite is the Annabelle in stainless steel. We are in the market and have been looking for a while. I have been wondering how these faucets hold up, so I appreciate your review. Thank you.

  62. I like the Sullivan Pull-out style faucet; but what really impresses me, is the spot resistant stainless feature of this brand.

  63. I like the basic Annabelle. Wow, these are pricey. I had no idea. Thanks for the chance at the giveaway!

  64. Hensley is pretty awesome and the Moen warrant can't be beat. Great job on your kitchen, the before and after is dramatic! Even though it has been a few years I'm sure dragging out this pictures made you proud to see all the improvements. We do tons of DIY also!

  65. So many pretty choices! One that I like is Harlon--nice clean lines, and the stainless is spot resistant.

  66. I absolutely love the Hensley in Spot resistant finish. I also really like the Lindley in the same finish.
We have replaced our kitchen faucets twice already and are nearly due to again. One of these would be my choice with the Hensley being #1!

  67. It's a toss up between Lindley and Walden. A faucet with a lifetime warranty that looks good and works well is a wonderful thing!

  68. Love the Delaney with the motion sensor! That would come in very handy--especially around turkey time!

  69. I'd pick the
"Align spot resist stainless one-handle high arc pulldown kitchen faucet"
    Because:
    resists spots
you wave your hand and it turns on!

  70. So many of them are beautiful, but since I'm right-handed and my husband is left-handed, our choices were limited to those with center handles. Of those, the Brookshire is the one I'd pick for the fixer-upper we're bidding on today!

  71. I really like the Brookshire, oil rubbed bronze. Really enjoyed the photos of your kitchen, and am impressed you persisted and changed out the old faucet yourself.

  72. My favorite faucet by far is the Delany with motion sensor. It has a cool soap dispenser as well.

  73. I really like the Anabelle. I know it's one of the first ones on the page but I kept scrolling down and never saw one I liked as much. And that bronze color! Wowee, I like!

  74. My favorite overall is the Ascent high arc pulldown in chrome; however, the faucet that would work best for where I currently live is the Anabelle high-arc pulldown in stainless.

    Both are great!

    Thanks for the giveaway.

  75. I can't determine. I shall have to find some artistic or design-oriented person to help me out.

  76. Brantford would look good in my kitchen! Actually, we're going to be replacing almost everything in our kitchen soon -- floors, cabinets, counter tops, backsplash. Our kitchen is really out of date and we need to remodel the whole thing to sell our house and move to Papua New Guinea!

  77. I want the Delaney with MotionSense. How great would that be for kids, or when your hands are slimed with raw meat or egg yolk?

  78. Pretty! I like the Notch best, but in looking through them all, was reminded of the decisionmaking fatigue that I tend to develop whenever we go to home improvement stores. So many choices! Too many! But the idea of just picking the first one in our budget that passes the threshold of 'fine' is also disquieting.

Thus, why we've taken on few home improvement projects in the 7 years of owning this place. : )

  79. I don't need a new faucet right now but I do need some bathroom lighting. I didn't know Moen made lighting as well! I love the Felicity line.

  80. They are so many great choices, but after narrowing it down to two or three, I kept going back to the Weymouth style. We live in a very old house and it would look perfect here.:)

  81. I love the Woodmere faucet. It might not go with my current kitchen, but I'm just picking my favorite 🙂 And hey, maybe someday....

  82. Perfect timing as we are building a house! I like the Arch, but there are lots of good ones here.

  83. I like the Arbor design: the Reflex handle you sold me on, but still has a handle for water.

  84. I really need a new faucet! We are getting new countertops soon and replacing the sink, so the Aberdeen looks good to me.

  85. I had a similar experience as you removing my old faucet. I too went back to the hardware store for the faucet wrench, but still couldn't get the old faucet to budge. I finally called in a plumber who gave me at-a-boys for my attempts to DIY the project.
    I like the Billhill model.

  86. We're evidently hard on faucets, because we're on our third in about ten years. I've always discounted the high ones like the one you purchased, thinking I wouldn't like it, but you are making me rethink that assumption! I like the Brantford the best - fairly simple and traditional!

  87. I like the Annabelle, but the Hensley is nice too! We recently changed our faucet to one similar to this in oil rubbed bronze, and I definitely love it way more than the old one! Would love to replace the one at my camp too!

  88. I love the arbor one. Probably brush mickle to match our house. So nice! My mother in law has one it is so handy

  89. I like either the Anabelle or Arbor in mediterranean bronze. I can't decide if I'd like the soap dispenser.

  90. I think I would really like to try the Moen Reflex just like you got. It would be great to win since buying a kitchen faucet is on my to do list.

  91. Aberdeen is by far my favorite. Just so you know you can fix those pesky sprayers when they get stuck in the on position. I found a tutorial online that suggested soaking the pieces in vinegar and it worked!

  92. I really like the Aberdeen oil rubbed bronze. Just when I thought I found the one I loved another would catch my eye.

  93. I like Woodmere oil rubbed bronze one-handle high arc pulldown kitchen faucet.

  94. I like the Arbor in chrome. My faucet is actually newish, but my sink needs replacing badly! Your old kitchen reminds me of my current kitchen, except I have white tile floors. We've lived here 15 years and haven't remodeled the kitchen yet because there's always something more pressing.

  95. I was actually just looking at these faucets at Home Depot last week and fell in love with them. I really like the Align model.

  96. Russo - like the handle position and the fact that it has a soap dispenser also.

Thanks for your blog - it is always so informative and practical. We've used MANY of your recipes!! : ))

  97. Love the simple clean lines of the Arbor faucet. And I love the durability and quality of Moen!!

  98. I like the Kleo faucet with the loop to put your finger through to turn it on. We're planning a major kitchen over hall this summer. We've ordered teh cabinets, but not the faucet yet. Your comments about the soap dispenser are making me think I should consider one.

  99. I hadn't even thought about having a higher faucet and now realize it would be great. Would love to get one like the one you installed. Looks great:)

  100. yes, this is awesome timing. I've just begun thinking i want one of these. I like the Aberdeen!

  101. Love the Delaney with motion sense feature! We have small kids that can't quite reach the handle so this would be great for them.

  102. Love the Aberdeen. We put a Moen in the kitchen about 5 years ago that is like the Brookshire, we bought ours on Amazon for $100 cheaper than what our local plumbing store had it priced at. Our model was not available in any big box store.

  103. Terribly hard to choose just one - they are all so beautiful! Love the Anabelle, Lindley or Brantford styles. We live in an older farmhouse that we are trying to make more user-friendly but still keep some of the original "character" 🙂 Thanks for the opportunity to win a beautiful new faucet!

  104. I like the Annabelle stainless because I Love how the faucet spout is sooo tall. I think that's the new look these days. 🙂 Thanks for such a great giveaway! xoxox

  105. I saw this faucet at Amazon and its now 45% OFF! Based on reviews I believe this is a high quality and reliable faucet. Good choice of faucet.

  106. We are in the market for a new faucet as we have been managing a leaking faucet for a couple of years now by replacing parts. We are done with that circus (as of yesterday)! The brands we considered were Moen, Kohler, and Delta with three faucets in the running. It didn't take long for me to select this one. Besides its functionality and the fact that I am changing from a pull-out to a pull-down (I want the clearance), I love the way it looks! Thank you for this blog - it helped make the final decisions with the comments, pictures, and installation information.

  107. So many great choices. My favorite is probably... Hmmm.... Lancaster. I think most any of them would look great in a kitchen (especially compared to an old faucet). Thanks for the chance!

  108. I like the Aberdeen. We desperately need a new kitchen faucet....our's is some cheapo contractor's grade faucet that was installed when the house was built, and after almost 8 years of hard use, it's starting to fail. I'm glad to read your review - will definitely consider the Moen Reflex line when we get around to changing it out!
