We are having another FG gathering!
For the past two years, reader PD has kindly organized an in-person gathering for Frugal Girl readers. She and I have both been busy with school this summer, so we're a little late getting around to it...which means we're having a fall gathering instead of a summer gathering.
We have been lucky to have decent summer weather both times, but a fall gathering means the weather might be even better! 🙂
As we did the last few times, we are putting out a Google form with several dates that could work, and we will choose one based on the majority of responses.
It will be super simple; just a bring-your-own picnic lunch, and we'll have a free swap again, since that was fun the last two times.
Also, I hope PD brings her sheets of no-longer-needed CD labels, which we use as name tags. I still have both of mine from the last two gatherings. Hehe.

It's a whole 24 hours drive for me that is just driving, no stops, one way. And I live in Texas and I'm only halfway across the country. It's still a long way for a lot of people that live in the US. I wish I lived closer. Everybody that's able to go y'all have a great time. Love and prayer from Texas.

Hi all! I know not everyone who is interested can make it to this region or dates- and I remember that folks had expressed interest in branching out for different regional gatherings- so maybe others can invite Kristen and coordinate similar efforts in their areas? Kristen has been kind enough to travel for the last two gatherings. Who knows, maybe she can cross a few more states or countries off her bucket list!
Also, the meet-up is not too far from airports or rail stations, in case that's a factor for anyone.

Ahhh… wish I lived closer. It sounds like so much fun! I grew up very near there, but I have no family left in the area and anyway I live half a continent away.
Sounds like a handful of Texas folks should start coordinating a get together! I have family over your way, so maybe I could time a trip to join your meet-up... A BYO picnic and free swap is super low key when it comes to planning!
As people have said, could do regional meet ups, and can ZOOM Kristen in if she is unable to attend in person. I know it's always nice to meet in person, but it is an option. At the very least you will meet FG followers in person.
Sounds like we should do one in Texas! I’m in Dallas. There are several of us Texas folks and I saw one from Arkansas.
