The three best Amazon Prime Day deals
Today is Prime Day over at Amazon, which means they're running a bunch of Black Friday-ish deals exclusively for Prime members.
Not a prime member now?
You can try a free 30-day Amazon Prime trial and you'll have access to all the offers.
While a lot of the deals are things I'm not interested in (kind of like the real Black Friday! Ha.) a few stuck out to me as super useful.
Kindles
If you're in the market for a Kindle, today is a GREAT day to buy one, as Kindles are seriously discounted.
Gift Cards (get $10 back)
Buy a gift card multipack you'll get $10 in Amazon credit, which is pretty awesome.
If you give Amazon gift cards for birthdays or Christmas, get them now and save $10!
You can buy a multipack for as little as $45 (three $15 gift cards) and you'll get $10 in Amazon credit.
I totally ordered a pack already. 🙂
15% off Amazon Warehouse Deals
Amazon Warehouse Deals is where Amazon sells used and open-box items.
And it's where Mr. FG and I bought our iPhones (which have been great!).
The 15% off will be applied to your item at checkout...I just tested it with a Vitamix to make sure it works properly and it does indeed.

We've had an Amazon Prime membership for years and we love it. The two-day shipping is really marvelous if you're a little late shopping for a birthday or for Christmas (ahem).
And if you're not in a hurry, you can frequently get a $1 Amazon music/video credit for choosing normal shipping.
If you do that enough times, you can make a pretty serious dent in your Amazon Prime subscription fee. 😉
Of course, you can always just use the Amazon Prime trial for 30 days and then cancel, and you won't owe anything.

Are you an Amazon Prime fan? Do you think it's worth the money or not?
(I'm an Amazon affiliate, which means that clicking on these links or trying a free Prime trial helps to support The Frugal Girl at no extra cost to you. But of course, I pay for my own Amazon Prime membership every year with my own dollars and my enthusiasm for it is authentic. 😉 )

Just bought a gift card bundle!! Thanks for the heads up - I had no idea about this deal & had planned to ignore Prime Day. This is a fantastic deal!
For the parents out there -- there is a baby wipes deal to get a 6 pack of 80 wipes each (normally 10.99) for 3.85!
The three-pack of $15 cards is sold out. Sometimes it's a disadvantage to be on the West Coast!
They still have three-packs of $25 cards, but I ended up buying the ten-pack of $15 ones, though. If I don't need them for gifts, I'll just add them to my account. Thanks for the tip!
I signed up for the Prime trial and I purchased a gift card pack. Where do you see the $10 credit? I'm not sure how to access it?
Thanks!
I believe that gets added to your account later. It's not instant.
We joined Amazon Prime when we were living in an RV and traveling around the country. That 2-day shipping was a necessity then; otherwise we would want to move on before packages arrived. Now we are homebound again it is a luxury but I am now too spoiled to give it up.
We have had prime for a few years now...it has revolutionized my Christmas shopping, and we do about 80% of our gift giving from there. We also enjoy the TV/movie options, a bonus to our Netflix membership because we would pay for the prime membership even without the TV option. Amazon has had great customer service, we have been completely satisfied with the shipping speed and quality and selection of items. We ran out of swim diapers this week and no store around us had them. Found them much cheaper and delivered quickly, we didn't have to miss a day of swimming (our frugal fun for the summer).
We did a Prime trial a few months ago when my husband was ordering a welder and the regular free shipping suddenly became $80. We kept it for the 30 days, ordered other items, and cancelled it. We live in Alaska and we have limited internet. It seemed like they still shipped items via the "slow boat" and we can't use the unlimited online benefits. I really didn't see that it was worthwhile for us.
I love Prime. I have had it for about 3 years now. I do not use all of the benefits...although I should lol... for me it is worth it.If you are a kindle owner with a Prime membership one of your benefits is a free book from the lending library. The selection is limited, and it is limited to one book per month but it still is a great benefit for me. I also use subscribe and save, which is a separate thing from Prime, to save even more $$$
I had Prime for a year, but dropped it when it came time to renew. I don't shop that much anymore and really prefer to shop locally with cash, so I wasn't getting the value out of my membership.
I might be a little in love with Prime for the two-day shipping and the reasonable selection of Prime videos and music and also Smile. Prime Day didn't do much for me, though. I was really hoping for deals on things we need (school shoes, cereal, that kind of thing) rather than on deals on things that might be nice to have.
Yeah...Black Friday bugs me that way too. Lots of sales on things I don't want to buy!
I purchased a Crock Pot from Warehouse Deals yesterday. Between the open box discount and the additional fifteen percent discount, it was about half price. We got Amazon Prime for the fast free shipping. We now also enjoy the videos and music that can be streamed or downloaded to our Kindles, monthly free book rentals, free Kindle First books each month, free photo storage on the cloud, etc. Our family now has one iPad and six Kindles.
We occasionally use Prime Pantry. It is good when you run out of household goods all at once or just want to stock up. You still have to pay a flat rate shipping fee but if you buy enough you still save money. Before using this we checked prices at the 2 stores that we usually do our shopping. Almost everything was a comparable price or cheaper!
