The Frugal Girl is feeling slightly stressed

Also, nervous. Why? Um, that's because a TV producer and a film crew are going to be at my house in a few hours.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!

A producer for CBN is a faithful blog reader, and she is going to do a little feature about me and my blog. So, she and her film crew are coming to my house today, and they're going grocery shopping and thrift shopping with me (the friendly employees at my grocery stores are going to be very surprised, I think!).

I think the feature is going to air in January sometime...when I find out for sure, I'll let you know. I don't get CBN on my TV, but the producer said that it will be available on the internet, so I'll be sure to post the link here when I receive it.

Sonia and Zoe are very excited about being on TV, so I'm sure they will manage to get a little bit of screen time along with me (Joshua and Lisey plan to avoid the cameras as much as possible, I think!).

Anyways, I have some stuff I need to do before the producers get here, so it's doubtful that there will be a Wednesday Baking post today. I'm just not that efficient.

  1. Oh wow - how exciting for you! We're just getting ready for a photographer from one of our nationals to pop over - must be the day for it!

Good luck and can't wait to see the TV programme. Have a great time!

  2. How wonderful, and exciting, and of course stressful too! I hope you can relax a bit and enjoy it. We, your faithful readers, and totally thrilled for you!

  3. WOW! !! Congrats! ! ! Can't wait to hear how it goes and can't wait to see it !! Guess I will be waiting for the link as I'm not in the states.. Goodluck Kristen!! Happy New Year! ! 🙂

  4. Hooray for you!!! More, hooray for your faithfulness first to God and family, which spills over into your blog--your goal has been stewardship, not fame, and God is honoring you. And, I bet your husband is SO PROUD!!! (which in itself is a wonderful reward!)

  5. OOOOO, ooooo, ooooooooo! In our family, we'd say: If you WEREN'T nervous, we'd think you were a mutant! 🙂 Break a leg....and I'll be praying!

  6. I will definitely post the link when it's up, unless I am so mortified at seeing myself on camera that I expire on the spot. 😉 It won't be until at least mid-January, so we'll all have to be patient for a bit.

Mrs. Green, that's so funny. It must be blog media day. lol

Thrifty Gal, I've already been approached about a reality show, but I turned the opportunity down. I decided that I wasn't quite thick-skinned enough to put myself out there like that.

Michelle, yup, it's all God. I think of myself as a tool in His hands, and He can take the blog where He wishes. Hopefully the TV spot will help or encourage someone.

  7. So how did it go?? That is really really cool. That kind of confirmation on what you're doing must be an awesome feeling.

  8. Laurie, I think it went all right. It's my first time ever being interviewed on camera, and I'm sure I'll do better if I have another TV interview, as I'll be more comfortable. The producer was happy, though, so that's good. I'm sure I'll see all sorts of things I should have done differently when I see the finished product, though! lol

  9. You're a gorgeous gal with wonderful ideas raising a healthy family "cheerfully" on less. GOOO KRISTEN! You're going to be wonderful!

  10. I've been seriously out of pocket over the holidays and unable to keep up with anything but... congratulations, Kristen! I hope your "show" went well and can't wait to see it on the 'Net!
