I forgot to say this on New Year's Day...
but it's better late than never, right?
Thank you so much to all of you that have read my blog over the last year. I am humbled that so many of you come here to read my posts, and I am constantly encouraged by the kind emails and comments that come from you. I think I have the best readers in all of the blogosphere. Mwah!
And my goodness, isn't blogging wonderful? I feel so blessed to have this medium that allows me to share with all of you from my (freecycled and painted) desk. (speaking of which, I don't think I've ever shown you pictures of it. Hmm. Must remedy that.). I would never in a million years be brave enough to speak in front of all of you, and I don't have enough time to write a book for all of you to read, but a blog? Yeah, I can totally do that.
So thanks for being here...you are an enormous part of what makes this blog fun and interesting, and I am grateful for you.

I am new to your blog, but everyday I am excited to see what money-saving things you've been doing. You are so encourgaging & you're really helping me keep on track with my daily expenses for our family! I think this blog is so great & effective because I don't feel I'm alone in the money saving thing, which is HUGE! Thank YOU, Kristen!!
THANK YOU for taking the time to share. I have learned so much over the short time I have been reading your blog. I look forward to reading your posts. Have a healthy and peaceful New Year!
I am so excited to read your blog every single day. I love it! I'm not frugal by any means, but I am working on it. I am a SAHM and my husband doesn't make a ton of money, but it's enough to get us by on a daily basis. However, reading your blog makes me want to change my habits and cook more (don't cook from scratch hardly at all; lots of frozen food and lots of food waste unfortuantely). My friend sent me your blog and I was immediately hooked! Thank you for taking the time out of your day to make our days better! THANK YOU!!!!
Kristin, thank you for taking the time from your busy schedule to write this blog. I enjoy your baking adventures which have gotten me back to baking our bread. My family absolutely loves the garlic rolls.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us....my family even knows you! They will say are we having The Frugal Girls French Bread PIzza (A regular favorite in our family). I tried your garlic pull apart over the holidays and it is a new favorite!! I am glad I discovered you, which would not have happened without your cousin Bethany!

Been following on and off for ages but for 2010 I am going to keep reading more. Great photos, don't hold back on the photos!
agreed - thank YOU for taking the time to share so much of your life with us!
I've been reading along in a feed reader but haven't stopped by to comment, so I'm stopping in with a "thank you" and keep up the good work!
We did some second-hand Christmas, so I was happy to see the Duplo love at your house. Our second-hand gifts were well received, too. One $.99 digital camera was the best received gift of the holiday! Your idea of donating your remaining food money for clean water got me to thinking about how I'm giving back and living my values financially. And of course, your kids are just gorgeous. 🙂
I am looking forward to reading your ideas in 2010 as well, and commenting more frequently!
Thanks for all the kind words, everyone. See, you really are the best! 🙂
Penny Saver, I LOVE it when my readers de-lurk! Yay! I'm so glad you decided to comment, and I look forward to seeing more comments from you too.
what a resourceful lady you are! i'm so happy to have stumbled upon your blog. you truly have some great ideas!
Hi Kristen,
I love, Love, LOVE your blog! I think I've been reading your blog for close to a year now and I'm always inspired by your posts, especially those with photographs ;). I'm no longer a goodwill snob and I enjoy cooking from scratch more and more. However, I do have one question - Is it possible to make any of your yeast breads without having the lovely, coveted, beautiful Kitchen Aid mixer? I don't even own a whisk, much less a mixer - is it still possible to make the yeast breads without?
Thank *you* for making every day a little more interesting and informative. And gentle: I often go back to certain of your posts, to try to learn how you effectively share tips without implying that everyone should do it your way.
Hi Kristen. I have been reading your blog for about 2 months. I also have 4 kids and stay home, which you know doesn't mean you're necessarily always home. Thank you for the yogurt recipe. It turned out fab! I made it yesterday and we had it for breakfast today. My kids loved it too. I am constantly looking for ways to be more frugal. I recently started baking bread and am cutting down on breakfast cereals. I love to cook, especially different ethnic dishes and I really appreciate all your tips on cutting down the grocery bill and cutting food waste.
I am inspired by you to become more organized and always have a menu for the week. Thanks!
