Christmas is...
"Christmas is doing a little something extra for someone."
-Charles Schultz-
"My idea of Christmas, whether old-fashioned or modern, is very simple: loving others."
-Bob Hope-
"Gifts of time and love are surely the basic ingredients of a truly merry Christmas."
-Peg Bracken-
Just a small reminder that, as a rule, the things that will make Christmas special for you and yours are the things that money can't buy.
And if you're short on money, you can still be long on love and care, as no one has figured out how to market and sell those things yet. 😉

This is such a great reminder. Thank you, Kristen!
Our family plans to spend about $150 this Christmas. We will just invite a couple of friends over for dinner and buy some gifts for Baby FAF's teachers. Nothing extravagant. I can't believe Christmas is only 5 days away!
Thanks for giving of yourself and your time by sharing some of your life on this blog. It is a gift to many. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Such a great reminder! My hubby and I stopped exchanging gifts a few years ago and our families spend very little on gifts for each other, and instead make a joint donation.
We have set aside time to just relax and enjoy the holidays and our time together!
Thanks for the reminder! I think we all focus so much on the stuff during Christmas that we don't focus nearly enough on its meaning - to be with the people we love and to spread goodness.
Perfect timing for this reminder. I was just trying to decide if I should take off early tomorrow to spend more time with my college-aged kids that are home for the holidays. Now I realize that of course I should go be with them while I have the opportunity.
Merry Christmas, Kristen!
Thank you for this post. It's so true. The best part of our Christmas is sharing the Christmas Eve service at church and a meal together on Christmas Day.
Oh my, that top picture is so cute!!
My little Zoe! She used to be so small. And now she is a big almost-12 year old.
Love this post! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
What an important reminder! Thank you so much.
Our kids love making ornaments for their teachers at church, Awana & Upward, plus for neighbors.
Each ornament costs just a few cents because we already have glue, glitter, beads, and other craft materials, and recipients really like receiving them.
Love this! Merry Christmas!
Agreed. Thank you and Merry Christmas.
Indeed. So true, luckily!
