Menu and grocery spending(it’s back!)

I never did get around to posting my menu last week(holidays really seem to throw me off!). But, I’m here this week, with menu in hand. 🙂

First up, though, grocery spending!

I spent
$29.09 at Aldis
$43.08 at Weis
$5.50 at Safeway
$7 at Costco
for a total of
$84.67

However, this week it was my husband’s turn to bring refreshments to the monthly men’s meeting at church, so some of the groceries I bought were for supplies for that. Everyone chips in each month to help pay for the supplies, and this month $11 was in the envelope. So, I actually only spent $73.67, which means I’m under even the low end of my budget this week. Yay!

Here’s what’s cooking this week in my kitchen:

Saturday

  • BBQ beef sandwiches
  • buns(from the store this time, because I have a busy Saturday)
  • orange slices

Sunday

  • French Toast
  • OJ
  • grits

Monday

Tuesday

  • Cuban Steak Sandwiches
  • English Muffins
  • apple slices

Wednesday

  • Manicotti
  • French Bread
  • fruit salad

Thursday

  • Chicken and Stuffing
  • Rolls
  • applesauce

Friday

Your menus always sound yummy - Can you include more of your recipes or links to them?

I always store my bran in the freezer. It never seems to go bad stored that way (and sometimes I have stored bran literally for years at a time).

My waste this week was a container of ham-fried rice I completely forgot I'd made. So I discovered the leftovers were in the fridge still after Thanksgiving and they had to go. Oh, and 1/2 loaf of bread.
