Menu-8.30-9.6 and grocery spending

Saturday

  • We’re going to my in-laws for a multi-birthday shindig. My sole contribution is four dozen homemade dinner rolls.

Sunday

  • French Toast(eggs were on sale for $.99 a dozen!)
  • Orange Juice

Monday

  • Grilled Pizza(it got bumped from last week!)
  • Fried Squash(also bumped from last week)

Tuesday

  • Aussie Chicken(bumped from last week. I really did cook dinner every night but one last week!)
  • Rolls
  • Peach slices

Wednesday

  • Shrimp and Ravioli in pink sauce
  • French bread
  • Salad

Thursday(my son’s birthday dinner)

  • Grilled hamburgers
  • Fruit Salad
  • Chips
  • Ice cream and cake

Friday(my son picked this meal too. It’s a two day birthday party!)

  • Ham sandwiches on rolls that look like snakes
  • Jello
  • Veggie sticks

Here’s my grocery spending report:

$10.63 at Target

$69.15 at Weis

for a total of $79.78. So, I’m just slightly under budget, and that means that I’m still going to average higher than $80 a week for the month of August because of my over budget week earlier. Ah well…most weeks this month I kept it very close to $80 and I’m pretty happy with that. My Costco trip is what put me over, and I hope to not have to make another large-ish Coscto trip for a while.
