But at least mud isn’t all that hard to wash off.

oh what fun! We haven't done this yet. I had fun with my two daughter 3 and 10 running through the rain though! We didn't have boots or an umbrella, the rain caught us by surprise. So for 10 minutes we giggled ALL the way home!

Awww, so nice to see children doing things like this. Seems like we as a society spend way too much time inside, usually staring at a screen of some sort. :-/ Did they get you to get muddy with them? :-)

You won't be sorry: this is the sort of fun that your kids will reminisce about when they are grown, as in "Remember, Mom, when you let us play in the mud?" I am often amazed at which memories my grown kids recall fondly. Keep up the good work.
