I'm back! And I have power. Oh yes, I do.

As I mentioned on Twitter, we lost our power on Sunday morning, but happily, it just came on tonight (Monday night). Yay!

We're all safe, our house sustained no damage, and thanks to a kind neighbor who lent us his generator, none of the food in our fridge or freezer was damaged either. Much to be thankful for, and that was made all the more apparent to us as we logged on tonight and saw the damage in Vermont.

It's bedtime here, so that's all for now. I'll type more tomorrow morning. 🙂

  1. Glad to hear you made it through in one piece. Oh, and that your freezer food is safe too - such a relief. Money saved can be money down the drain if they start thawing.

  2. Yay for that generator! I was wondering how your big freezer was doing! What a blessing! I'm just hoping my now thawed bananas and blueberries can hold on until our power comes back so I can have a banana bread-blueberry muffin baking fest.

  3. Glad to hear you're all okay, we came through with no personal damage but LOTS of flooding and power outages all around us.

  4. Good for you. Candles are great. One thing I need to get is that freeze dried food from Oregon. It is good if you tried the free sample. I need some in case the power goes out here. The longest it went out here was 4 days due to snow that they had not seen in 40 years.

  5. Glad to hear it! Still in the dark, but on generator power. Trees down EVERYWHERE. Thankfully, not on my house/car. Life is good.
