Guys, guess what I'm doing today?

(The answer is not, "writing a normal blog post").

But, barring unforeseen circumstances, I'll be signing a lease this afternoon!! 

I am also turning 44 today. 😉

So, here's to a new year of life in a new home. And here's to not shopping for rentals anymore. Whew.

    1. @Rose, "conga rats" has just given me an irresistible mental image of rats doing the conga--which I sure hope they're not doing at Kristen's new abode. (Sorry; I know autocorrect catches us all sooner or later!)

      And, seriously, Kristen, many happy returns of your birthday and best wishes on the new rental. Here's hoping that the road ahead for you and your kids is as smooth and easy as possible (though I know that a few more major bumps are ahead).

    Praying for your marriage today.

    My parents have been divorced since 1996, but starting in 2010, they became best friends. They haven't remarried and wouldn't, but they have a wonderful friendship. Dad's been in the hospital for a month, and mom visited every day. Dad never re-married, so that helps. Mom had one long relationship after they divorced, but that is over. They also remained friends!

    1. Depending on the day, I definitely do get a mixture of sad and happy feelings. I figure that I can hold both of those things: happiness that I finally found a rental, plus sadness that I am even in a life position where I needed to find a rental.
