(this is a picture of a $25 gift card because that’s what I could come up with on Flickr’s Creative Commons. The Living Social gift card is indeed a $20 card, though. Sorry for any confusion!)
I don’t normally post stuff like this, but MoneySavingMom just shared that a daily deal site (Living Social) that’s similar to Groupon is offering $20 Amazon gift certificates for only $10. I just signed up and bought mine and thought I’d pass it on to you guys!
The deal is limited to one per person, and I’m not sure if there’s a limited quantity or not. If you really want this, though, I’d hurry and snag one right away.

Did anyone have their credit card charged twice? Mine did.
elizabeth says
mine did too…guess I’ll have to try and figure out how to get in touch with them. I did get my code for the gift card..
Janice says
Wow, isn’t that weird? I’ve never had that happen before and I make purchases online quite often. From their facebook page, it looks like they’re probably overwhelmed with unhappy people – ones who didn’t get their codes, but their cards were charged.

Anyone had this post to their account yet? I did the deal yesterday and have not received an email yet- went to the site, logged in, and the card is not available yet- I guess it takes a full 24hrs?
Michael says
Nope, I haven’t received mine yet either! Was anyone lucky enough to get three friends to sign up so they got their deal for free? I tried, but I don’t think I got even one taker, lol. Still, an extra $10 is great!

Mine posted this morning. I was a teensy bit paranoid that it was a scam, but I feel a lot better now!

Wow thanks and have fun.

I live in Canada but travel in the US a lot — and usually pick up an Amazon book order mailed to where I’m staying! Though our dollar is close to yours, Amazon.com prices are usually about 20% less or more than Amazon.ca one.
So this card is a great “travel perk” for me! And I may pick up some other deals at places where we’re going to . Many thanks for pointing it out!

Nice and thanks for the info! There are gift card exchange services that offer the same type of deals, where you can buy a gift card to your favorite store at a discounted rate. They will also buy your unwanted gift cards and allow you to put some money in your pocket. Pretty nice considering we are just out of the holiday season and might not plan on using the gift cards we received.

I just went to the link and purchased it but then nothing happened. (I didn’t get an email confirming the purchase or anything like that.) Are they going to mail me the card?
thanks for telling us about this!
Sabrina says
Lucy, on the confirmation page it says,
“When can I use my deal?
Hold tight: We’ll email you when your deal is ready to use. If it’s a weekday deal, we’ll email you the day after the deal runs. If it’s a Friday/weekend deal, we’ll deliver your deal on Monday.”
Lucy says
thanks, Sabrina! I didn’t see that!

Thanks Kristen! I love Amazon gift cards, especially at 1/2 price : )
Janice says
Got mine – thanks Kristen!
Kris says
Yes it’s a $20 gift cetificate. I wish they’d let you pay using PayPal.
Kristen says
I paid using my Amazon.com credit card, which was sort of funny. =P
Cheryl says
I did the same (used my Amazon card to purchase!) LOL
Trina says
the post says $20 gift certificate. and the post on the living social website says $20 gift certificate but your picture shows a $25 gift certificate. is that because you only had a $25 one to take a picture of?
Kristen says
Yes, the offer is for a $20 gift card. I edited the post to explain that…sorry to have confused you!
