The Q&A is a go!

Those of you that left a comment were overwhelmingly in favor of a weekly Q&A post, so I will go ahead and start that feature. This means that I need some questions! If you'd like to submit a question for the Q&A, you can send an email to TheFrugalGirl at Gmail dot com(I'd post it as clickable link, but that tends to attract spam robots). If you'd put "Q&A" in the subject line, that would be helpful.

You can ask a question relating to frugality, of course, but if you've got a burning question about some other topic(like homeschooling) or you just want to know something about me, you can feel free to ask, and I'll do my best to answer.

Just so you know what to expect, here's what my blogging schedule will look like now:

Monday-Q&A

Tuesday-whatever I want!

Wednesday-a Wednesday Baking post

Thursday-whatever I want again. 😉

Friday-Food Waste Friday post

Saturday-Grocery Spending and Menu Plan post

Sunday-a day off for me, unless there's something I REALLY want to write about.

I may sometimes remove the regular features for a week when I want to do something like the breakfast week posts, but generally this is the plan I will follow.

Reactions to the idea of a post with links to articles from other blogs was mixed, so I'll probably shelve that idea, at least for now. I may occasionally link you up to a particularly good post from another blog. though.

I'll be back with a regular post later this afternoon.

  1. Kristen, I have found your step-by-step recipes very helpful. You have a unique talent for breaking projects into simple steps.

  2. Hmm, are there any single clones of you in the Western MA / Albany area? 😉

I love the recipe sections as I too am a fan of homemade bread. How about what are some of the more unusual breads you make outside of the classic whites and wheats? Also, where do you usually find your recipes?

  3. Wendy-I'm glad you've found my recipes to be helpful!

    Renee-it's coming(hopefully on Thursday!).

Battra-nope, not that I know of! I don't even have any available sisters(although my sister is not very much like me anyways). 😉 Thank you for the compliment, though.

I do plan on posting recipes for unusual stuff(bread bowls, English Muffins, etc)...I was just trying to put up some basic recipes first for people who are beginner yeast bakers. So hang in there, because more interesting stuff is coming!

  4. I’m planning on ordering Cook’s County for my 22 year old granddaughter. She Loves to cook! I want to order a personalized recipe book to go with her subscription. My question is, how big are the recipe cards? I love your blog by the way. Thank you for your help

    1. The recipe cards are 4.5x6, so sort of an odd size. But a lot of the recipes in the magazine are not on the cards.
