Instead of blogging last night....
...I painted.

Because there is NOTHING to motivate me to finish painting like having my living room completely disorganized, with all the furniture shoved to the middle of the room.
I hate that.
Mr. FG and moved furniture, taped, and primed the living room before he went to work yesterday, and then after he went to work, I did two coats of paint.
And that means we're done!
Well, almost. There's a problem with the drywall in one corner, and I'm not quite done fixing it...a little spackle, a little sanding, and a little more paint will take care of it.
I promise to take some pictures once everything is all put back together and organized.
Anyway.
All of that is to say that I don't have a grocery report or menu plan to share with you today. I do have a photo that I took earlier in the week, but that's it.
And I did write up a little post last night (in between paint coats) about some lovely deals that ING has running this weekend, so don't miss that.
I hope you have a lovely weekend, and I'll see you here on Monday (at which point I will be announcing a one-day deal on my ebook!).

Love all that fresh produce you have there.
Good job on the painting. That is not one of my favorite things to do. I'd rather blog. Once it is done though it always feels so fresh, clean and new. Then I am inspired to clean up the whole room and give it a complete fresh start.
Loving the color!! I'd love to do something similar, but The Hubs says something like that is too dark. I'll just have to live vicariously through you 😉
On a side note, do your walls have texture? If not, you are SO lucky!! Having to repair drywall here means having to re-texture walls & pray that the texture comes out similar & unnoticeable.
Hi Kirsten,
Can't wait to see the new color! Is the can paint the one on the wall? The can looks like a gray-silver color. Just painted my foyer, living room, dining room and kitchen a light gray. Love it!

I really like the photo of your groceries 🙂 I'll bet you saved lots of money and there's quite a nice variety of things there, too 🙂 🙂
Oh, painting.....I don't envy you there. It'll be nice once it is all finished 🙂 Have a great weekend. Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather 🙂
What is the color? Or will that be revealed in the follow up post? I love it and have been looking for one like it.
It's funny yesterday I was googling for ideas to paint my bedroom funiture black... I ran in to your blog and it truly inspired me to paint my furniture black among other things.. so thanks=)
your color looks nothing like the original blue--is this a different room, or did you decide on a completely different color?
Some good-looking veggies in there! 🙂
Been tapping my feet anxiously all weekend. Paint paint paint! ;p
And do you use eggshell on the walls? How does that work out for you?
I am getting ready to paint my bathroom soon. I can't wait. I would love for you to link up your savings at Pounds4Pennies. I have a Linky every Friday for everyone to share their savings.
