Not only do I have an honest-to-goodness clothesline, I now am the proud owner of some clothespins. I’ve been trying to pick up a package of these for some time now, but everywhere I check, they’re always out of stock(perhaps line-drying has become popular in this part of the US?). Happily, I managed to find some on Saturday(as an aside, I was reminded again that it’s important to check unit pricing. The 50 pack was $1.14, and the 100 pack was $3.86…which obviously means that buying two 50 packs would get you 100 clothespines for only $2.28. Weird.) At any rate, I only bought one, because my clothesline just isn’t long enough to require 100 clothespins.
I’m really happy to have them. Before, I had to drape all my clothes over the line to keep them from falling off. This worked just fine for light items like knit shirts, but things like jeans tended not to dry unless I remembered to go out and flip them over. Now, though, I can hang them up without any part of them overlapping.
