I kind of fail at links. But here’s a picture, and some tips on bonus offers.

The Picture

Normally on Tuesdays and Thursdays, I post a picture and just a few words. So, here’s a tulip that the voles didn’t eat.

(Because it’s in a pot.)

Take that, voles.   Thhbbbbt!!!

Link Ineptitude

Ok, so, about the link thing.

Because I am still apparently inept at creating links even after almost six years of blogging, I screwed up some of the links yesterday when I posted about the big ebook bundle.

Sorry about that.

They should all be fixed up nicely now, but if you find a bum one, please do let me know.

These buttons are the two main offenders from yesterday, and I’m throwing them in here in case you don’t want to go click over to yesterday’s post.

Bonus Offer Thoughts

I mentioned yesterday that I am usually very bad about remembering to redeem the bonus offers that come with these bundles.   So, I took a good stab at it this time, and I thought I’d share a few brief thoughts about which ones seem worth it and which ones don’t.

Yea

Marie-Madeline $15 off any purchase

You can use this on anything in their shop, and there are a lot of options which are less than $15, which means you can get stuff for free or nearly free.   I bought a bunch of cute buttons for my girls to craft with, and I just had to pay a small shipping fee.

Redeeming Beauty 3 free eyeshadows

You get to pick out three all natural mineral makeup eyeshadows and you just have to pay shipping, which was about $3.50, I believe.   You’d pay that for a cheap drugstore container of eyeshadow, and this stuff promises to be far better, so I thought this was a good deal.

Dizolve Laundry Strips

You get a free 64-load pack and when you order your free one, Dizolve also donates one to a food bank, which is pretty awesome.   These strips normally cost $26, which seems a little crazy high to me for 64 loads of laundry, but the package is free with the bundle and you just have to pay a few dollars of shipping.

I can get a jug of laundry detergent at Aldi for a few dollars, but I was curious to try these out, and I figured it would be nice to participate so that the one pack gets sent to the food bank.

NOTE: When you get your free pack, you are subscribed to a service which sends you more packs, so if you don’t want that, you’ll need to remember to cancel your subscription.   I’ll make sure to do that once my free pack gets here because I don’t think this is something I want long term.

Maybe

The offer for a free 20 pack of cards from Dayspring ($6.95 shipping) might be great for you if you use a lot of cards.   I tend to make my own cards or write notes to Mr. FG on random pieces of paper, so to me, it wasn’t worth $6.95 to get the pack.

If you’re in the market for some art, then the Hope Ink $15 store credit might be good.   The least expensive art prints are $24, but you do get a free one with a purchase, so basically you could spend $9 plus shipping and get two 8×10 prints.   Since I take a bajillion photographs, I’m not really short of things for my walls, so this wasn’t worth it to me.

If you are into herbal formulas, the free liquid herbal formula from Trilight Health might appeal to you.

Nay (for me, at least!)

The other four bonus offers are all electronic products…an herbal instructional video, and a limited-time membership to a fitness site, a planning site, and a meal-planning site.   None of those things were particularly appealing to me, as I’m not into herbs and I usually am not terribly interested in sites that require fees (Cook’s Illustrated being the one exception!).

You can see all the information on the bonus offers here.

______________________

I think you should make your decision about buying the bundle based on whether or not you’re interested in all the ebooks that come in it, as that’s where you’ll get your main value.

(There’s some good stuff in there from people like MoneySavingMom, Tsh Oxenreider, Sarah Mae, and Sheila Gregoire, to name a few!)

I wouldn’t buy the bundle just for the bonus offers, but if you’re gonna snag a bundle for yourself, do take advantage of the best of the bonuses…that way you’ll get the most bang for your buck.

Nice photo...it reminds me of something I like to tell to people. "Plant your seeds today and watch them grow into something beautiful tomorrow!"

Have a great weekend Kristen. :)

What are voles? anything like evil gophers who eat every plant they can find.

They're a little like moles, except they feed on the roots of plants. So you end up with an entirely useless plant...the roots are gone and the plant falls over. So frustrating!

It's become clear to me that planting things voles eat is a complete waste of money in my yard.
