We have a new Scrabble game!

The winner of the Scrabble Alphabet Scoops game is One Frugal Girl. Congrats!

I recently received a complimentary new game from Scrabble.

And I get to give one away to you, too! Read on.

Alphabet Scoop is a Scrabble game that little kids can play, which is great since regular Scrabble is too hard for Sonia and Zoe.

Although I think this game, like most games, comes with too much packaging:

…I do have to say that I vastly prefer these twine ties over those stupid twisty things most packaging has.

And I do like that all the parts to the game can be neatly stored inside the little soup pot.

Up to 4 people can play, and each player gets a scoop and a card. Once each player has declared which word they’re going to try to spell, it’s a mad dash to scoop letters and find the appropriate ones to spell the declared word.

My older kids are faster than Sonia and Zoe, so I make them choose harder words and Sonia and Zoe get to pick the three-letter words. It’s more fair that way. 😉

The Alphabet Scoop game has been really popular at our house so far.

Not only have my kids been busy playing it, visiting kids have been having fun with it too.

Though the box says it’s for players ages 6+, since Zoe knows her letters, she’s been able to play along with everyone else.

Even Joshua, who thought this was going to be too juvenile for him, has been playing with everyone else. 😉

Scrabble Alphabet Scoop is available at Amazon and also at mass retailers, but one of you won’t need to buy a game because I’ve got one Scrabble Alphabet Soup game to give away to one of you!

To enter, just leave a comment on this post…you can tell me why you think you’d like this game, or you can just tell me you want it. 😉

Because I’m not sure when my power is going to go out, we’ll make this a quick giveaway, and I’ll randomly choose a winning comment at 12:00 noon EST on Saturday, August 26th.

One entry per person.

This giveaway is limited to people with mailing addresses in the continental US.

Disclosure: Scrabble Alphabet Soup was provided to me on a complimentary basis but I received no other compensation, and of course, my opinions are my own. This post contains an affiliate link.

This would be a wonderful item for all children. I believe it would be particularly wonderful for children with special needs, as it allows them to participate in a meaningful way.

I would love to have this game as I do home daycare. I feel it would be a fun game for the kids to play while learning at the alphabet and how to spell at the same time. It will keep the interested.
