Oh, Kristen, this makes me laugh! The trick to pomegranates it to eat the whole seed! Otherwise, it’s too much work, and way too messy. When I was a kid, there was a pomegranate tree across the street from school. Our uniforms included white blouses and my mom wasn’t at all happy if I came home with juice stains. I became an expert at eating them without spilling a drop of juicy juice.
I’ve been known to carry a big pom on long flights, because it’s a perfect time to eat one. Yes, I can read a book and eat a pomegranate at the same time. Now, if I could just figure out a way to peel them without getting yucky yellow rind stains under my thumbnails.
