She did name him Timmy, but mostly she calls him Velour Whale.
That was his name on the Fluffyland page, where she saw him and fell in love. She sleeps with him every night now, and he’s by her side when she plays.

I had an invisible friend named Jane when I was small. She did everything with me, and she liked me better than anyone else in the whole wide world. When my mother would bake cookies, she always gave me one, and one for Jane.
We all need someone like that, even if our someone is a blue whale.

Aw. So funny story about the name “Timmy”–My brother’s name is Timothy (Tim for short). But if you’re a younger sister, the name is Timmy.
Well, when I was a kid, the black and white Lassie reruns were on. And “Timmy” was always falling down a well, or getting hurt, or getting into mischief that Lassie would have to fix. I always cried when I heard the TV say Timmy was hurt! My mom bought me a little Lassie doll at one point to carry around so he would save my brother should he ever get in trouble
This made me smile.
