You might think this is just a blanket

But no, it’s much more than that.  It’s a spaceship!

Zoe is the driver and Sonia is the navigator, and last night, the girls were trying to go to Hawaii, but they ended up at Mars, Mercury, the Galapagos Islands (Sonia threw that in there because she loves Galapagos Tortoises!) and several other places around the globe and solar system.

I’m not sure if they ever did make it to Hawaii before dinner.

Love it! Isn’t it amazing the hours of entertainment a blanket can bring?

I love how much mileage (literally!) your kids are getting out of the blanket!

It’s amazing how much imagination kids can have when they aren’t overloaded. My kids, 3 and 6, spent an hour on our deck a few weeks back roaming the jungles in search of viscious leopards to trap. In prose they were luring our sprightly little poodle into a large cardboard box with tempting food treats and then seeing how long they could keep her there before she escaped to prowl once again.
Both the children and the dog thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Sounds like you might need to plan a trip to Hawaii in the future

But we won’t let Zoe be the driver. ;)
