The third paint color fail

I thought this might be it, but no.  The shade turned out to be cornflower blue, which was decidedly NOT the silvery gray/blue I was going for.  In fact, I hated it way more than the previous two shades.

Happily, though, I found a paint color yesterday that I’m really happy with!

Of course, I’ll show you once I’ve got it all painted.

Blue-gray is such a hard color to get just right. We tried to do gray last year, but kept coming in too blue or too purple. We finally gave up and went with a lovely amber (light yellow).

Blue is soooo tricky. To get a pretty grey-blue, the paint chip has to look GREY. To get grey… heck, I have no idea. My husband picked what we thought was a plain grey for his office and it turned out totally blue. So it’s tough. I can’t wait to see what you finally settled on!
