I’m not going anywhere…this dress just is. I wore it when I was the matron of honor at my sister’s wedding (which, oddly enough, is the only wedding I’ve ever been in besides my own!).
That wedding happened to be at a point in my life where I was, um, a little smaller than I am now (my unusually small size can be blamed on food poisoning and following on the heels of that, a painful tonsillectomy which left me unable to eat properly for several weeks). I found the dress while I was cleaning out a closet last week, tried it on, and discovered that I couldn’t zip it up past my ribs (Lisey offered to help me, but I explained that any zipping efforts would probably be fruitless!)
Oh well. It’s not like I attend a lot of functions where a full-length dress is required. And thanks to the magic of freecycle, this dress is now in the hands of someone headed to a destination wedding.

Have you thought about revamping that dress. You are so clever
and it is such nice looking material maybe a top for a skirt or
whatever you can think of.
awww! that’s so sad. I still have mine… and it fits, which makes me rather proud. I’m sorry you had to see yours go!
