We’ve had very much the opposite of a drought here in the last week or two, which means the ground is pretty soft, and after a day of steady rain and some blinking lights, our power finally went kaput.
But, happily I’d already cooked dinner, and our evening activities could pretty much be done without power. My piano needs no power, and neither does Mr. FG’s acoustic, so we could still do our evening music thing. The Bible and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe could both be read by candlelight and of course, you need no light to pray!
After some candlelit teethbrushing, we hopped into bed, and about 5 minutes later, the power came back on.

What a great photo and it’s true. Love and life need no electric power really.
And certainly, thinking about the current day’s disasters today, a power cut can sometimes be a welcome reminder of how good we have it.
Great photo!!! It seems like you make the best out of every moment which we all should do!!
I LOVE it when the power goes off for this very reason! It’s nice to be forced to do “simple” things.
