Now I can sleep in peace.

I hate going to bed with un-done dishes and a dirty kitchen because it’s so depressing to walk into a disaster zone the next morning.

I’m a much happier camper if I leave a clean kitchen behind me when I head to bed.  And I’m a happier morning person then too!

I can’t go to sleep with undone dishes, either!

Oh, I certainly know that feeling. My boyfriend just can’t understand why I would rather stay up a few extra minutes to get the kitchen cleaned up before going to bed.

I am on the same page with you. When I almost think I have hubby “trained” as to having the dishes done the same night; he pulls a fast one on me. I hate waking up to a dirty kitchen especially since I don’t have time to clean it in the morning prior to work which makes coming home to a dirty kitchen to make dinner that much more exhausting. I can’t stand having to clean a kitchen prior to cooking a meal.

We’re the opposite! I don’t mind leaving dishes in the sink or a few dirty pots on the stove as long as I feel like I have the space and equipment needed the next morning to make breakfast. I don’t mind cleaning up the kitchen after breakfast – I tend to have more energy and motivation then.

Hubby, on the other hand, hates walking into a dirty kitchen in the morning, so he’s the one pushing for finishing the dishes every night, to the point where he unloads the dishwasher after breakfast to make it easier for me to stay ahead of everything all day!

Don’t you worry about those scratches on your counter. They represent hard work, good meals and love for your family. I have kayaks and they have lots of scratches and gouges from the rocks in the river and I am proud of them because each one was a trip down the river with friends and family. Oh my wonderful memories. Come on summer!

I’m the exact same way. I’m just grouchy in the morning if I have to try to maneuver around a dirty kitchen. I almost always clean up before going to bed, no matter how tired I am.

Oh! I am the same way! Although, last night I did leave them. I was just wiped out. Fortunately it wasn’t as overwhelming this morning as I would typically find it.

If I’m not washing them dishes I load the dishwasher, and since I wash some by hand real quick, the load is not full till the next day. So I really save on water and get things out of eyes view! I do have a huge soup to to wash though because hubby came in late and ate the rest! Nothing leaves you crankier than a sink FULL of dishes in the morning, I agree! ;)

Total perfection! I bet you hear your family sing praises when they bite into the perfection that you have made them on Wednesdays!

OOPS! I forgot what subject we were discussing . Anyhoo, to walk into a dirty piled up messy kitchen in the morning is a total horror story and on occasion quite embarrassing! One night we ate fish that had bones and we were really all exhausted from a trip out of town that day so we went to bed. Oh dear, next morning early, early, somenone rang the doorbell!! He came in, an old friend from high school days wanting us to vote for him for a congressman race and their he stood in my kitchen, plates on the table with pefectly arranged fish bones that looked like nomads had eaten them!!! It was hard to recover from that!!!”(

Ooooh, I can’t leave the kitchen messy, either. In fact, I can’t leave the living room/dining room messy before I go to sleep, either. I *detest* waking up to a messy house, and it feels so good to come downstairs to a clean and tidy home in the mornings :)

Don’t look in our bedroom though – it will be a disaster zone. LOL.
