I promised to post several pictures of my little niece on Sunday, but my day kind of got away from me. So, I’m going to break with the 365 pattern and post a bunch of photos of her today.
This one cracks me up.
My brother-in-law is teaching her the art of napping.
My oldest nephew was quite opposed to the idea of a sister, but he came around shortly after meeting Annalise.
The middle nephew though…he’d been wanting a sister all along, and he was over the moon. “Mom, I really love her!”
My littlest nephew was pretty impressed too.
Honestly, though? The hospital bed was more fun.
We tried to take a family picture, which was a little difficult.
After the boys left, it was a little more peaceful in the room.
I brought a little pink-and-white striped sleeper that my girls had worn. It seems so funny to see my sister holding a baby in pink!
This baby is waaaaay smaller than my sister’s other babies. Tiny feet…
a tiny head
and little hands.
She looks so much smaller in the hospital bassinet than her brothers did!
Isn’t her little face so sweet?? (says her completely unbiased aunt)
Happy sigh.

Great photos, Kristen! I’m giggling over pink in that household. I was so HOPING they’d have the fun of a tiny girl. We have several family photos like those; doesn’t everyone?! Thanks for sharing the fun. Can’t wait to see her in person!
I know! I just think it’s so fun that they have a girl now.
She is just adorable, Kristen! After my 3 huge baby boys, my little Eliza was so tiny and petite! True little girls!
Congratulations to the whole family! She is truly a little princess!
congrats.. She is so cute! I bet she will rule the roost…. Mine does!
Congrats Auntie! She’s beautiful!
I just have to ask though… does EVERY hospital in the country have those SAME receiving blankets? Seems regardless of who/where the photos are posted – all the hospital pics have those striped blankets!
I think they do! And they all have those same hats too.
When I go visit her next week, we’ll wrap her up in more unique blankets.
I agree with your comment about pix #2. Can’ t say that I blame her, either. I think you should frame both family portraits in a double frame. It’s going to be a very popular set of photos some day.
Also? There ain’t no such thing as “more unique.” /quibbling
Picky, picky, picky.
There’s nothing sweeter than a new baby!
Congratulations! She is beautiful °u°
(And I really like your 365…)
She is soooo sweet! Yay for sweet little girls in pink. I love the family pics!
Oh, sooooo sweet, and precious, and wonderful, and I could go on, and on, and on. I loved the time in the hospital when I had each of my three children. It felt that time had stopped (in a good way). Thanks for sharing the photos. What a beautiful family!
Oh my goodness, me too! I love, love, LOVED my days in the hospital. We have a great hospital here and it was so peaceful with having people to take care of me and no work to do. Happy days.
There’s been more than one crazy, hectic day here at home where I have wistfully thought of my stays in the postpartum unit and have wished I could go back for a little stay.
Imagine back in your mothers’ day when the stay was 2 weeks. Although I wonder how many were bored by the end of the fortnight.
how precious! she looks tiny compared to my girls when they were born (and they weren’t very big!). i LOVE her name too.
Congratulations to you and your family! What a beautiful little girl! Thanks for sharing
Okay, I know this post is about the BABY, but I can’t help but mention that your hair in the first photo looks great, Kristen!
P.S. I bet Lisey will like that her new cousin has a similar name, if I was Lisey I would just assume the baby had been named after me !!!
Thank you! My hair had a terrible period of falling out this summer, so I decided to get a cut with a bunch of layers to help give it a little bit more body and lift.
Oh so precious! What a beautiful family! It seems like all of the newborn baby pics I see in my part of the country have pink and blue teddy bears on the blankets! Nice to see a different pattern for a change!
Very darling baby girl!!!!! Thanks for sharing! My oldest was very upset when we brought his sister home from the hospital (she was born on December 20, so we brought her home in a giant Christmas sock provided by the hospital). When her big brother saw a bundle in the bottom of the Christmas sock that was making little noises, he thought for sure he was getting the long asked for puppy for Christmas….not a sister. He came around around a day or two, thank goodness!
Aww, that’s so cute!
She’s truly beautiful. I was just remembering a friend of ours has a daughter Annalise and what a goregous name that is! I have my four kids in the opposite direction, my daughter is the eldest at six, then my four year old son and then my twins that are two early next year. Hope everything goes well for both Mum, Dad and of course the goregous girl. If they eat & sleep fine everything is well in your home.
She is just so beautiful…what a blessing!
By the way…I love your new hairstyle…and 365.
