The game at which children can handily beat their parents (and grandparents. I remember my grandma losing to my brother and me on a regular basis!).

I love playing memory, even though I’m distressingly bad at it. My sister picked up a version from the seventies at the second-hand place near her a while back and it’s really hard. Lots of different coloured wires and bits of electronics and microchips and that kind of thing – some of them the same colours but pointing a different way. My six-year-old niece still managed to beat us all so maybe it’s not that difficult really…
My youngest son really likes this game. We were so impressed with his good memory one time when my husband was playing with him. When we commented about it my son told us that he practices in bed.
I loved that game as a child! And now I play it with my nieces and nephews and I’m blown away by their incredible memories!
