Yup, our van has now crossed the 100,000 mile mark.
It’s a Toyota, though, so we’re thinking it’s probably only reached the halfway point (if that!). Which is good, because my new van savings fund has a long way to go.

You indeed are fortunate it’s a toyota and probably has another 100,000 plus to go. Its funny how we always seem to be looking at the odometer right as it it hits a milestone!
I’m delighted your speedometer is at zero in this picture!!
Hee. Yep, we pulled over to take the picture.
Congrats!
I had a Honda CVR for the past 12 years and it had 157,000 miles on it before I sold it to my nephew for his wife. The first time I ever even had to do anything to the car (except for routine maintenance) was in the 10th year and taht only a tail light that burned out! That car was such a good car that I bought another Honda only this time a little red Honda Fit Sport just for me. So Cute!
Either you’re lucky or I’m a little unlucky. In general I like Honda’s safety, security, and stability but my 2000 Acura Integra had similar problems with the clutch three times. The master cylinder and the slave cylinder. Other than that a fine vehicle.
I was going to razz you about having the car in drive….but then I saw that Margaret beat me here and ruined it for me by pointing out that the speedometer reads zero. Bummer!
I love taking pictures like this! Its actually kind of sad…I blame it on the ridiculous commuting I was doing at the time.
On my old car I got one at 100,000 and then 111,111 (I also coordinated the trip meter to be 111.1), and then 123,456. (with the trip meter at 78.9)
I just don’t think I’m that motivated! lol
You need to have a little talk with my fiancee Kristen! His car is at 86k miles and he’s been talking about it biting the dust “any day now”. WTF? I’ve had cars in my family that last well past 180k! (now…not all will. But I’m saying that 86k is about the same as a 40-year-old. Mature, and not close to retiring yet!).
My little 2002 Ford Escort just hit 56k. You can tell how often I drive the dang thing
My car just hit 100,000 too! But I missed it, so it’s now about 120,000. My first car went to 208,000 (a Subaru!) so I too am hoping that this is only halfway for me too!
Our 2000 Sienna van is at 170,000+ and now being driven infrequently by our child who is in college. We will kiss it goodbye when she graduates next spring although she likes driving it. We told her she needs to buy something when she graduates. It’s reliable but she will need something with better gas mileage, and the AC no longer works (and we’re not going to fix it).
I totally get this
Actually my friend and I call each other when we hit big milestone marks (we’re both a little obsessed with our old Hondas
Kim from Philadelphia
I’m LOL’ing at your picture, my 2001 Mercury Cougar just rolled over 200,000 miles. Luckily I just bought a new 2010 Hyundai Elantra for myself, so now my husband gets to drive the Cougar (which he is thrilled). Did I mention our 1994 GMC van has 247,000 miles on it? I must say, your van has TONS of life left in it!!!
