In case you don’t know, Thomas used to lived right next door to us, but alas, he moved an hour away only a year after we moved to this house. However, he and Joshua formed a fast friendship in that year, and they’ve stayed best friends during the last four years. They talk on the phone pretty much every day, and Thomas’ mom and I do our best to get the two of them together fairly frequently.
This is important when you have three sisters and no brothers*, you see. You can’t have the estrogen completely taking over your life.
*Thomas has 3 brothers, so his situation is not as dire.

Oh no! I had no idea Thomas lived so far from you. I’m glad he and Joshua have stayed such good friends, though. It’s nice to have constant friends.
DON’T take your weding ring off! Julia took her engagement ring off and put it next to the bed. When she went to get it a day or so later, it had gone! That was six months ago. We have not seen it since. We have two cats and suspicion fell immediately on them. Perhaps they knocked it down and batted it around. But it was nowhere to be found, in spite of searching the entire house – twice. Perhaps it was vacuumed up. I took the Central Vac system apart. No sign of it. Did the cats eat it? We borrowed a metal detector! No beeps from either cat! I search through the contents of the vac system every time before dumping it.
That ring was bought in 1962! So as you can imagine Julia is devastated. We insured it for its value at the time of purchese, about $1500, and never changed it!! So make sure you keep the insurance value up to date! Julia’s ring, being almost 50 years old had increased in value by probably 10 times, but it was still only insured for it’s original price!
So, DON”T take your rings off. Good advice, believe me.
I have one brother and yet the extreme estrogen in the house was too much to resist. Perhaps that’s why I enjoy a classic movie musical now and then.
