I’ve been shooting in manual a bit more.

in Out and About

I tend to take the easy way out and shoot in P (program) or AV (aperture priority) mode most of the time, but I’ve decided that I really ought to get the hang of choosing shutter speeds.

Last night a piano/violin/cello trio came to our church to give a concert, so I played around a little in manual mode. Isn’t the ceiling of our church building pretty?

Your ceiling looks like our attic ceiling and slanting walls we did ourselves several winters ago, all in that same lovely knotty pine.

I’m with you, I mostly use program or aperture mode. I usually only play around with my shutter speed if I am taking pictures of moving water.
