I took this through my car window while I was sitting at a red light yesterday, and it’s not edited at all except for a bit of cropping.
I took this with my new point and shoot.

And will you tell us if you would recommend said camera for folks who just want to take decent pictures? I’m in the market for a reasonably priced camera with some features (zoom being paramount) for a Christmas gift and been researching but winding up overwhelmed!
This does have a crazy amount of zoom! I haven’t played with it enough to know exactly how impressed I am with it overall, though. It’s not as good indoors as my SLR is, of course, but it seems to take nice outdoor pictures.
I promise I’ll play with it some more and post a thorough review.
I love the pic. The other day I was riding on the way to my hubby’s Christmas party and saw an awesome picture opportunity…the camera was too far away though…have to remember to keep it in my seat with me. I just recently got a P&S for time just like this so that I don’t have to carry my DSLR everywhere…love it but it can be a bit big to carry just to the park across the street for 5 or 10 mins of play!

So, it was Mr. FG’s party. Is he laying claim to that camera at all? Or he leaving the camera work up to you?
We each got our own raffle ticket when we walked in, and mine is the one that got called! So, the camera is mine fair and square.
He’s not much of a shutterbug, though, so even if he’d won it, he would have handed it off to me.

You always take nice pics and I must say that, that Elph takes very nice pictures!! Congrats on your win. I’m never that lucky..hahaha… Something easy you can always keep in your bag/purse instead of the bigger more expensive cameras.
