This post marks the end of my 365 project. 870 posts and almost 5,000 comments later, it’s time.

I’ll still be just as camera-happy as I was before, but in an off-line way.  Hey, maybe some of those photos will now finally find their way into our family scrapbooks, which have been a bit neglected since I started blogging.  ;)

Thank you so much for following me on this journey.  I’ve had such a blast doing this project and sharing it with all of you and I hope maybe I’ve inspired a few of you to take on a 365 project of your own.

And I hope that perhaps my photos have helped you to see the loveliness (and sometimes the humor!) that is in the ordinary every-day-ness of our lives.

Beauty is all around us; we just need the eyes to see it.

Bravo. Do post kid pix in your blog from time to time; otherwise, we will miss them too much. Bet wishes and love.

What a great ending picture.

I really have enjoyed your 365 posts and they did inspire me to start my own photo blog this summer.

I will continue to check out Joshua’s photo project:)

I am sad to see you end the 365 daily photos! These have been a daily treat for me during what has been a harder year at our house. Always fun or funny or optimistic or beautiful, they were a bright spot for me most days. Thank you. And, I hope you will continue to share them once you have a break!

That makes me happy to hear, Eliza…I’m so pleased that my photos cheered up your days.

I hope you will leave the site up so we can revisit our favorites from time to time. Thanks for sharing this glimpse into your life and giving us literally more than double what you promised.

Yes, please do leave the site up, if you don’t mind, so that I can go back and look at the pictures I haven’t yet seen and spend more time with the ones I really love. [And perhaps you might decide to post something now and again, who knows? You're not forbidden to you know, even though you've re-ordered your priorities.]

Thanks for all the delightful pictures. They’re lovely glimpses into your world and I’ve enjoyed them very much.

Well, this is like the BEST final 365 pic ever! What a lovely way to end your project. Great shot!

I will miss your daily pictures because I always enjoy seeing what new creation you share, but I am happy for you to start a new chapter in your life!

Ever consider doing a 52 project instead of a 365?

I’ve enjoyed watching your children grow up.

Kristen August 31, 2012 at 7:18 pm

I did consider that, but then decided that I was stubbornly resisting my own attempts to simplify! =P

I will miss your 365 posts! I always love them. They communicate in such a different way, and it’s often very refreshing, humourous or thought provoking. Thank you for making a difference to my days!

Thank you!

Thanks for the daily photos. Has it really been two years? WOW.

Susan@Emperorp August 31, 2012 at 9:29 pm

Beautiful final photo. I too will miss your 365 project. Two years went by very fast. I applaud your reordering your priorities and doing what works best for you and your family.

Thank you for the energy you put into this project and for sharing glimpses into your dailiy life. You have made mine all the richer with it by reminding me daily to appreciate the beauty in the simple things in my days.

i, too, have loved these daily photos. living on the opposite coast, and in the city, i especially appreciate seeing the contrast of our lives… in lifestyle and in surroundings.

if it makes sense for you, i would love it if you left the site up so we can continue to enjoy your photography.

enjoy this new phase of your life. wise choices that you won’t regret…
