And when the dad/baby combo is comprised of my brother and my niece, it’s even better. 

Sonia made a magnet for me too. 

I just love that she labeled the dog.

It’s a magnet, made from printable magnet paper.  Isn’t it awesome?  It makes me smile every time I see it.

You know how I do the 14 Days of Valentines for him every year?  Well, this year he’s doing a version of that for me.  He knows I love encouraging words from him more than presents, so every day, he’s leaving a sweet note somewhere around the house for me to find.

And apparently I’m not too observant, because I managed to be in the kitchen for quite a while before I noticed my magnet. 

I do tend to grill all year round no matter what the weather, but this February grilling was a lot less chilly than normal!  I didn’t even put a jacket on to grill these yesterday.

Our church rents from another church, and so that we both can have services on Sunday mornings, they have an early service and we have a late service.

Mr. FG and I always arrive early so that we can work on setting everything up for the music, but sometimes the other church is a little late getting out. Fortunately, there’s a nice little sound-proof room near the sanctuary, and that ends up being the pre-church hangout space for the six of us.

I let my kids doodle during the sermon on Sundays (I listen better when my hands are occupied, actually, so I don’t think doodling interferes with listening), and this is Zoe’s page.

My favorite parts are the title (DOODL PAGE) and the bit on the left that says, “Master Sonia Sword”.  Perhaps you’d have to live her to understand why that’s funny, but mostly it’s because Sonia is so bossy, I’m not at all surprised that Zoe used the word “master” before her name.

I mean, it’s not funny that Sonia is bossy (we’re working on that)…it’s just funny that Zoe sort of inadvertently acknowledged that aspect of living with Sonia. 

When one arrives in the mail, all of your children sit down to read it without you saying a single word about it.

Mike Veneziais the bomb.  Seriously, you should SO bring some of his books into your home, whether you’re a homeschooler or not.
